  Sorry, this is not going to be a good review. Appointment at 9:30 no one around till 10:00 to check me in. Pick up- long line of angry pet owners trying to get their pets. I have to wait 45 mins to collect my dog then another 40 mins to get my medicine. Never had a worse experience.

  Vets are great!!! Miço was very happy when he went to visit there. The veterinarians there are also very good at making diagnoses.

  I brought my pet cat to Banfield from day way to near end of life care. The staff and doctors are very compassionate, competent, and caring. I am glad to have found this location and can only believe that all locations are as warm and attentive as this one.

  UPDATE: I am so disappointed in the care from the staff, and particularly the veterinarian. That level of care cannot possibly reflect positive, adequately healthcare for our Banfield pets at the Chantilly location. ____ Today, my family left Banfield Pet Hospital in Chantilly confused and disappointed after an appointment for our senior dog. We have been monitoring possible kidney disease through Banfield and were previously told her lab work looked normal and to continue follow-up care. It was especially frustrating when my mom left today’s appointment in tears after being told things “weren’t looking good” and that an ultrasound elsewhere was the main or only recommendation. What upset me most was the lack of communication. We were not clearly told: • Which lab values were abnormal • What the results meant • Whether the situation was urgent • What symptoms to watch for at home • Why outside testing was needed I later followed up by phone with the veterinarian (who had never previously seen our dog) and still received very few answers beyond being told her kidney levels were not normal. The veterinarian has extremely poor communication skills, could not or would not communicate by phone: (1) what she did (2) what she recommended (3) why she was recommending it. I ultimately chose to end the call because of the communication breakdown. I am so disappointed in the care from the staff, and particularly the veterinarian. That level of care cannot possibly reflect positive, adequately healthcare for our Banfield pets at the Chantilly location. At the time of writing this initial review, there was also no information available in the medical records we can access online. We understand difficult diagnoses happen, but families deserve clear communication and compassion when making decisions for a beloved pet.
