  I recently took my dog to get groomed and was turned away because my dog is yeasty. She does not have any open sores or anything of the sort, just a very yeasty dog as she is a nano American bully and her breed is very prone to growth of yeast and allergies. I bathe her with no problems at home and she has had no issues and is a very well behaved dog. However, we were turned away. My assessment was that the groomers did not want to take on the responsibility, as they could not give a good reason why they declined service besides stating that her yeast is “not normal” and that washing her would harm her. This is not correct. Perhaps the groomers have minimal experience with this breed, but their evaluation was not correct. My dog has never had issues receiving baths or grooming services. I was highly disappointed and felt there was some discrimination. I will be returning to the Petco in the DC area. I do not recommend this location for bulldogs with any yeast growth.

  Considering it’s probably the last store corporate thinks of in their chain of stores, this one makes up for it with their nice staff and their will to actually work with what they have. It’s surprisingly clean too, my dog had no problems with his appointment, he came out with his nails perfect and cleaned my doggy up nicely.

  Specifically the groomer Thalia who really should be given a raise, some nicer equipment and some lighting because she works very hard, is very good with the animals and deserves more from her company. I appreciate her gentle nail trims and Grace isn't afraid to go in and see her new friend. Be sure to tip her directly please and rebook! Xoxo

  This place is across the street from my home and I loved it. Since t’s been sold or whatever, my litter never available on top of their food. There is NEVER anyone at the register anymore. This place has gone down hill. I have to drive to Maryland to get my things now.what happened???
