  I used the booking system (not a walk-in), it was easy to do and plenty of openings on short notice. When I arrived, the vet (Dr. Demi Gonzalez) was ready promptly. She listened and thoroughly examined my dog. She gave me all options in both diagnosing the injury and then how to treat it. The entire staff was pleasant to work with and clearly loved animals.

  I love this place - my two pups are always excited to walk in the door and snack on the treats as we wait to see the vet! My older pup recently got a younger puppy brother, and he's been pretty strange for a bit since. We came in to see if it was just nerves or if he was hurt somehow, and first were met by Island, who did an amazing job getting our pup weighed in a calm manner (same weight!). Once he was ready to see the vet, Island soothed his nerves and made sure the process went slowly because he needed it. Dr. Gonzalez did a more thorough exam than I've literally ever seen lol, stretching each leg and checking for arthritis. My pup really didn't want to be touched but they kept calm and reassuring him, making him feel comfortable through the whole process. They both were an incredible team in figuring out that our pup is perfectly healthy just anxious 😂 Island then walked us through the rest of next steps to include prescriptions and all the vaccines he needed. She was even super kind to a random rude woman who came into the office demanding help with a prescription for her cat when she normally goes to a completely different vet!! I don't know how she has the patience lol. We'll keep going here as long as Island and Dr. Gonzalez are there to care for our pups!!☺️

  I brought in my 3.5yo Shih Tzu mix, the other day and the veterinarian immediately pushed for him to go on one of the major four brands of dog food without knowing why I have him on the diet that he’s on. Not only was she focused on correcting my use of the word commercial when she knew what I meant but she is spreading misinformation. A grain free diet doesn’t cause heart issues, its (potentially) lentils and legumes and the FDA confirmed that when they closed their case against grain free diets. You know who made grain free diets high in legumes and lentils when the FDA first opened that case? You guessed it, the major four brands this veterinarian wanted to recommend to me. They quietly removed their grain free options and then bought companies that sold grain free foods. She didn’t know my dog’s history well enough to comment on his diet that way and she’s not up to date on her information in her field of work. Unlike her though, I’m polite so I didn’t correct her. Just nod and say ok so she can get on with what I brought my dog in for. I am thankful she at least discovered my dog’s bacterial infection and his impacted anal glands but she was quick to not want to comment on what the other veterinarian did wrong—I took him to another clinic 2 weeks prior and they tried to express his anal glands but didn’t tell me they were impacted which is clearly wrong and I’d appreciate it if you either don’t comment on anything or tell the truth when you comment on everything. Overall, I think she is relatively versed in what I need her to be capable of and she would be better if she stayed in her lane which is not nutrition. I could probably stick to coming here and just ignore her when she tells me the wrong information and just continue doing what is best for my dog but I personally, and what I’m going to try to do myself, would recommend seeing a veterinarian that is truly looking at the science. A pet feed company manufacturing the results of a study is not science. Science and common sense says that if a dog is getting enough taurine from real organ meat (actual food), a biologically appropriate diet, there’s no need for moldy chemically produced oxidizing fatty pebbles composed of burnt trash, chemicals, anti-nutrients, and moldy grains sprayed with carcinogens. I will say, this is the best veterinarian I’ve ran into in a very long time though, 3 others previously couldn’t diagnose a simple anal gland impaction and provide an antibiotic, so I’ll be back if I don’t find a better vet. The industry is really gone down the cr pper though. I’d recommend this place for first time visitors or someone who can’t find any privately owned clinics in the area but you have to be firm about what you want done and stick to what you know about pet nutrition because a chain vet clinic is always going to recommend the top four brands of pet feed (who also own the clinics) and those brands are clearly poisoning dogs with allergies, lumps, cancer, and inflammation then they sell us Cytopoint and Apoquel which further damages your dog’s immune system so the clear conflict of interest is annoying and insulting to intelligent people. Stop giving bad advice about nutrition and just treat the animal for what owners bring them in for unless you are asked for your bad nutritional advice. Otherwise it’s rude, irresponsible, and insulting, and it’s not good business practice. The price is reasonable except for the exam fee which could be more competitive (should not exceed $100 in my opinion). It’s all, generally speaking, an extremely good price for first time customers only. The veterinarian is competent, just focus them back on treating your pet for exactly what you came for, ignore them trying to sell you feed for your dog, and you should be fine.

  I gave them a 2 and only because the vet we saw in our initial visit was very nice and competent. Now, on to the not so good things. Their pitch is that your pet first wellness exam is free. I told them that we have two dogs when I made the appt. When I got there and checked in, I was informed that only the first pet is free… not the second… Nowhere did I read this and told them on the phone that I had difficulty claiming the free check on my second puppy. I was told not to worry that it will be rectified during check in. They rectified it by charging $118 or $120 for my dogs. They needed a rabies shot, got it for $63 per dog, plus tax. They told me that the dogs needed a heart worm test when I requested flea and thick medication. They said that they could only sell me a month supply. I told that I was going to order it from an online provider. They do not sell tge brand I wanted. I ordered from online… three days after ordering, I was told that the vet has not return the script for the order. We call Bond to find out what was the hold up. The reply was that the dogs needed a heart worm test. ???… when ask the price of the test: $200 per dog. $400 for a test that two of the vets I called will cost me under $70 per dog. My previous me…have been living in VA for a year… PetMedic close down without notice to any of their clients. Bond has demonstrated that their pricing scheme is that of your typical corporate chain. I adore my puppies but their pricing is outrageous.
