Brought cat in for follow up visit. Dropped her off in AM did not receive a call all day. Went in at closing only to be told our cat was not treated. They had an excuse but clearly the problem was over booking and only having one vet on site. To top it off my cat got sick from thier clinic with a long lasting cold that was then spread to our other cat. You would be better off taking your pet any where else than choosing this clinic.

I have had a great experience at Banfield for over ten years! They have taken care of three cats for me including an elderly siamese with severe health conditions, and two domestic shorthairs who have had to have dental work including teeth extraction. I have also had multiple close friends and family who I have recommended to come here and they always had a fantastic experience. The doctors are experienced, the staff are friendly and I feel well treated every time I visit. Dr. Kiernan in particular called about one of my current boys two or three times after he had a health scare to check on us. They offer a membership that has really nice discounts including complimentary visits and even dental work for no additional cost unless you add on additional services like blood work or your pet needs teeth extracted. It ultimately has saved me a lot of money on my pets even if it is another monthly expense. The amount it saved me on dental work alone or when my big boy cat had stomach problems has probably paid for itself. I felt the need to mention it because I know a lot of people struggle to pay vet bills but their membership is pretty generous for what I pay in my opinion. They're also always easy to get an appointment for. I work weird hours and so does the rest of my family but these guys have enough locations and times to where I can always get in pretty easily. You should always take a careful look at which location you're scheduling for however as a few have slightly confusing names like the "West Jordan" location not being the only one in the city of West Jordan. They're not an emergency vet, I would recommend Blue Pearls Pet Hospital if you're having an emergency.

Everyone at Banfield loves our babies. We have been going for years and stayed with them when they changed locations from Jordan Landing to their current location off of 5600 west and 7800 south. Sloan barks in the patient rooms because he wants whoever is working to come into his room. From a young age he learned that the vet is a nice place because he always gets loves from everyone. We recently lost two of our pets in the last year, Skylar Jo and Sammie. They were treated with dignity as their time was coming to the end. Banfield treats everyone with respect. That's one of the main reasons we go to them to care for our four-legged family members.

The vet and staff are nice but Banfield, as a company, does not value your fur baby. I would not recommend this chain of veterinary hospitals to care for your pet. They don't take the time needed to evaluate your pet and don't look beyond anything obvious or that is not diagnosed through blood work. I've had a wellness plan on all my pets for at least 25 years and I'm slowly phasing them out. It's sad, they didn't used to be that way.
