  Way too much emphasis on selling there care packages. The charge a high office visit fee just to say, look how much you'd save with this plan.

  This is our first (and second) times visiting this Banfield location and the people were SO AMAZING with our 9-week old pup. He got his first visit and then had a reactioin to either his shots or first heartworm pill. They got us in so quickly and the staff at this Banfield were SO kind, professional and down to earth. Thank you SO VERY MUCH Banfield - this location should be the protype for how all your locations run so smoothly!!!

  I recently took my dog in because his leg had been appearing to dislocate. The doctor explained that he did not do X-rays but said he could determine where my dog was injured by manipulating his leg. He recommended rest and an anti-inflammatory medication and said that if the leg did not heal, amputation could potentially be necessary. The way this was communicated felt very cold, and I left feeling concerned and uncomfortable with the plan. A few days later, my dog became very sick and I had to take him to an emergency veterinarian. Bloodwork showed elevated liver levels. We were then told that, because my dog is already on a high dose of prednisone for an autoimmune disorder, he should not have been given the anti-inflammatory medication he was prescribed. What makes this especially frustrating is that his prednisone use and medical history were communicated to the doctor's team at the time of his appointment. Knowing that, I am extremely disappointed that the potential medication interaction was not caught before the medication was prescribed. This situation has now cost me more than $600 in additional veterinary care and, more importantly, has caused additional stress and health concerns for my dog.

  I thought long and hard about whether or not to post this review. I've waited a month so I could be in a better headspace and wouldn't be so caught up in recent emotions. This vet may very well be good about many services, but do not go to them for euthenasia. My childhood dog unfortunately had dementia near the end of his 16 year life and it made him confused and scared. We eventually made the very difficult decision to put him down so he wouldn't suffer anymore. On the day of the appointment, we brought my boy in and he was taken to the back room to insert the catheter. He cried out in the same way he did when he was scared for what felt like the next 20 minutes while they tried to get the catheter in. He stopped after a while and we thought he'd be coming back out, but after a few more minutes he started crying again. We were left completely in the dark while this was happening. My mom left the room at some point to ask about the wait; I was told that there was another patient there to check in and the person who had taken my dog back for the catheter was checking them in. I understand it's important to get to people in a timely manner; but I am so frustrated and sad that they left him alone in the back. The vet came out after the catheter was in and explained that he was very dysphoric due to the dementia and the stress of the situation. After we walked out the first thing the receptionist asked was how we'd like to pay. I would really have appreciated a little more tact after losing my best friend. My last memories of my baby boy are of him crying in pain; I'm sure this vet may be fantastic about other services but based on their lack of care here, I absolutely do not recommend taking a pet in for euthenasia services. The 2 star review instead of a 1 star review is based on the fact that they sent us prints of his nose and paws after. Those were lovely. The experience itself was unfortunately worse than an already terrible event should've been.

  My autistic client just had his cat die last month. Guess who got a charge for her continued care this month? Apparently even if your pet just died they make you continue the yearly plan. Sick and foul. Avoid them like the plague.
