If you need a FAVN test done, STEER CLEAR of this vet. We took our dog in to do the blood draw on June 2nd. We were told in person that the test would be sent out that night to Kansas State. We went back on the 4th to get an item we left behind, and again, we were told IN PERSON that the blood test had been sent and that Kansas State had received it on the 3rd.
Fast forward 10 days, and doing my due diligence I gave banfield a call to make sure that everything had gone okay with the forms and the test and to confirm that the test had been received by the lab as we were on a tight schedule. I was told once again, yes, everything went well, and that Kansas had the test and that we should receive our results any day.
Fast forward once again to June 22nd, and I find out Kansas actually has no record of our dogs test. I call Banfield AGAIN to see what’s going on. They then tell me that there was a problem with the paperwork so they didn’t get the test sent until June 20th; 16 days after they told us IN PERSON that everything went well, and that Kansas had our test.
Not once were we notified that there was a problem with the paperwork and that the test was delayed. I expressed how frustrated I was with the situation because again we were on a tight schedule and if the test had truly been sent when they said, our dog would be able to fly with us (which he now has to come a few weeks later.) But I was mostly frustrated about the lack of communication. There was no apology; the person I was on the phone with just said they understood our frustration.
If you want a vet that is straight up and honest when there is a problem, as well as who can communicate, this is not the vet for you.

Terrible service. Had an appointment for my American Bully. When I arrived the dr wouldn't bring her back. I believe he was judging her breed. From 15 feet away told me she had cellulitis. Then when I told him I believe its a fox tail. He got a little closer about 5 feet away at this point. We are in the lobby. My dog cant put weight on her foot and is in pain. He tells me go home and soak it for a week and see what that does. I asked for antibiotics which he declined to give her. I ended up in the emergency vet a few hours later to treat her pain and get antibiotics. I would never trust my dog with these people. He was scared of her breed and more worried about payment then he was helping my dog get comfortable.

This place will have you make a appointment gives the options to drop off or stay in the room when you arrive they want you to drop your pet off they will not see you if you choose to stay with your pet even if you say you can wait with your pet they send you away My opinion would be they give you an upfront price to see your pet 70 something dollars and because you're not there with your pet they can rack up whatever cost they feel necessary or whatever they think they can get over on you very shady practice. I would get an itemized list if you do go here and drop off your pet urgent vet in Taylorsville up front. They're fast. Get you right in and ruff Havens and also great veterinarian place. Both of these places are up front. They give you options to treat your pet. Learn my lesson today waste of time!
