- JKJessica KappleJun 25, 20263.0Very disappointed! I recently moved from another state and had always brought my dogs to the same person at Petco. So of course it would be an adjustment for my dogs going somewhere new. So I anticipated that. What I didn’t anticipate is it taking over a half hour for him to clip and buff 2 of my dogs nails. He made one of them yelp twice by clipping too short. When I asked when I should come back to pick up my lab mix from getting a bath he told me 3 hours! 3 hours is way too long for a bath on a dog that was already anxious about meeting someone new. The main reason I traveled over 20 mins to go Petco was to use the free grooming I had earned that was set to expire. I showed him the email I received showing I had a free grooming yet it wasn’t showing on my account he said no problem they can over ride it. Fast forward to my husband picking him up and they refused to honor it. Saying they needed the actual coupon and since it wasn’t showing up they couldn’t honor it. Yet acknowledging the email I had said I had earned a free wash. Well Petco, you just lost a long time customer! I will find a local home based groomer for all of my pets needs from now on.
