  I had begun to feel like I could trust this clinic having taken my dog there for vaccinations and well-checks. Today, my developing trust and respect for Vetco changed. Though my 9 yo is healthy and received a comprehensive exam in March '26, in order to schedule a dental cleaning, I "had" to book a dental consultation, which was essentially another comprehensive exam at the cost of $92, plus a mandatory "Disposal Fee" ($6.91) for disposal of equipment related to the exam (e.g. syringes, medical materials). I politely asked about the fee given no syringes or other equipment was expected to be used. I was told the fee is a "Corporate" thing that "we're trying to address but there's nothing we can do about it, now." I was given the option to decline the appointment but I was already checked in the exam room with my dog. The fact that customers are charged a fee (whether materials needed to be disposed or not, is absurd. And charing a full exam fee only four months after the previous exam is equally inappropriate. It's a sad state of affairs…

  Very happy with the care. The team is compassionate, we were able to get in quickly, and the vet was super knowledgable and kind.

  The vets here are mostly helpful, however they have changed the vetco pro plan so many times. It's pretty upsetting when you sign up for it you think you are getting one thing, but they keep changing it. They shouldn't be allowed to do that, not the vets fault. But it really changes what I thought I signed up for, bumping the point system so much really stops anyone from earning any rewards. Which stops me from spending money, which also makes what I pay for less effective. Even with the free vet visits, included still. They also ask me to review every time I come so, a bit persistent so here's my review

  Love this team! I have a very hard to handle rescue and they're amazing with him. They understand the goals of keeping him happy and comfortable and are very kind. I also love the Saturday hrs.

  I’ve been bringing my Husky to Dr. McMullin at Petco Vetco for several visits now, and I couldn’t be happier. I used to take him to a Husky-specific vet, but Dr. McMullin has completely won us over. My dog is very sensitive about his paws and generally doesn’t like being handled by strangers, yet he trusts Dr. McMullin completely. He’s hands-down the best veterinarian I’ve ever worked with. He takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, then checks to make sure I fully understand. He also performs a complete exam every visit, not just addressing the specific issue I came in for. The staff is equally wonderful—they always give me a clear breakdown of costs upfront, so there are never any surprises when it’s time to pay. I used to avoid Petco Vetco because of some negative things I’d heard and the products I saw in their stores. I’ve completely changed my mind. The care my dog receives is outstanding, and I’m now switching all three of my pets to Petco Vetco. I won’t be going anywhere else.
