I really was hesitant to go to a chain like Petco because I've had bad experiences with places like Petsmart and other chains. Unfortunately, some of the best groomers in the Provo area will only do small dogs and are very expensive. We've had our smaller Shih Tzu done at other places that we like, but our larger 80 pound dog wasn't accepted at most of these locations. I was extremely impressed by Petco efficient efficiency, and the attention to care and detail. I was pleasantly surprised with my customer service experience and with how clean the facility was. Furthermore I think they did a really excellent job especially for the price. I believe today this is the cheapest professional hair groomer I've had for my 80 pound Australian shepherd mix. Although 100 bucks is still expensive it's a lot cheaper than the 150 or 180 base price others charge. Out the door with tax and tips I paid $107. I would recommend Petco to anybody, especially those with larger dogs who aren't excepted at smaller boutique grooming services.
