- NNnyiia_cSep 29, 20261.0i wish i could give no stars. what should have been and quick and easy purchase, turned and into an awful experience because of Wendy. i greeted her and she said nothing and then i proceeded to wait at the register for several minutes while she did nothing but ignore me, then another customer comes and she became extremely friendly with him and assisted him. when she finally acknowledge me she was rude, short and gave me a dirty look the yeld for brey to "help this man". im not a man im a WOman. it was extremely disrespectful and i didnt not deserve it. belittle your customers is never ok! do not shop at this petco!

- KPKasey PattersonSep 9, 20261.0We bought a guinea pig that was 70% off. He looked lonely and depressed so I couldn't pass him up. I asked the worker why he was so cheap and he said "he is just older and no one wants older pigs". We got him home and I noticed he had a pretty large bump under his chin. I've never owned a guinea pig but I didn't think that was right. Immediately made him an appointment and was informed it was a giant abscess. We are currently treating him for it and the lump is practically gone. I know Petco sold him to us for that cheap because he was sick. I wish they weren't so deceptive about why he was so cheap but I dont regret buying him. I had went back a week ago to get cat liter refilled and they had 2 guinea pigs in a tiny tank (because thats what it is) and one looked absolutely horrible and lethargic. I'm not sure if its this Layton location or all but their animals like sickly and run down. I attached a picture to show his lump under his chin and also a guinea pig when I went the other day and no it wasn't just taking a nap. It didn't get up or move the entire time I i was there.
