  So far, every time I’ve taken my pet in for a routine visit, they find something else wrong. Whatever it is costs money and is not considered covered under the insurance. This last time I took him in, I received a call stating they needed to do $1200 worth of testing. The vet had not even examined my pet yet. I said no, but eventually ended up having part of it done at a cost of $300. They also ended up giving me pain medicine that was $70. It turned out that he only needed to have his anal glands expressed which cost $40, so I didn’t even need the $300 x-ray or the $70 medicine.

  The techs and vets are always so kind, no matter what we are there for. They love out dogs like they are their own.

  The Wylie Banfield location is definitely not one I’ll be visiting again. I finished grocery shopping and decided to swing by this PetSmart to pick up my dog’s prescription food and insulin. When I got there, I noticed her prescription card for her food had expired just two days ago. I was told that because she is seen at a different Banfield location, they could not update her prescription card or dispense her insulin without ME contacting her regular location and having notes added to her account. I was honestly confused because they have access to her medical history in the same system, and I’ve picked up her prescriptions from other Banfield locations before because I’m often in different areas. I was told, “Each location is different.” I understand that there may be different procedures between locations, but one of the reasons I chose Banfield is the convenience of having multiple locations. If I prefer to see a particular veterinarian but need to pick up my dog’s food or medication at another location, I would expect that to be possible within the same network. Thankfully, I called another Banfield location, and they were able to take care of everything without requiring a note or additional steps. Needless to say, this particular location doesn’t have to worry about me coming back. I’ll stick with the Banfield locations that actually make things convenient for their clients. 😂

  I had a great experience starting with Amanda at the front desk. She was genuinely friendly, caring and efficient. A vet tech named Jessica handled my dogs and she is always extremely knowledgable and loving with the animals. Dr. Mahoney is the kindest and absolute best doctor who has taken amazing care of us for years. I do not trust anyone else but these 3 with my fur children.
