  The groomers are ridiculous! After years of grooming, there and elsewhere, no one has asked if my dog has a particular health condition. When asked today, I answered honestly. Their vet didn’t even detect it yesterday at a visit. The groomer’s response was that they couldn’t take him without a vet’s release. After all these years! They couldn’t take him in the back because they didn’t know how he would react to all the stress. But they offered to clip his nails and TOOK HIM IN THE BACK. He will only eat Petco’s brand of food, or else I would never go to a Petco again.

  So Petco has been offering coupons on my app and my account and now they’ve taken them away and it’s the next effort for me to go there so by them doing this and taking away from their customers something has been in place for years is really gonna hurt him because starting with me or maybe those have done it already but just not gonna shop there anymore

  I have only visited this location twice, and after my horrible experience this past Sunday, I will not return. I went in to purchase a single Tiger Barb to replace one in my tank. The first employee I encountered was incredibly sweet and offered to find me assistance while he finished cleaning. Unfortunately, the person who came to help—whose nametag read Schade—was the exact opposite. He was rude, unprofessional, and highly condescending. While I understand staff may be trained to ask about tank sizes, customers are not required to share that information, and I found his line of questioning intrusive. I repeatedly pointed out the fish I wanted, but he resisted, eventually telling me he needed to know the fish was "going to a good home" before selling it to me. I do not appreciate being gatekept or interrogated over a simple purchase. Further his rude comment to call me 'testy" because I did not want to engage and simply wanted to make a purchase was completely out of line and uncalled for! He aggressively interrogated me about my tank size and setup. Customer service here is intrusive and unprofessional. The assumption that people are illiterate and can't read the information clearly printed about the fish and best conditions for them clearly printed on the tank is ignorant. The assumption that every customer is a novice rather than an educated enthusiastic who is more than capable of knowing what they entered the store to purchase shows an inflated self concept of himself and lack of awareness and even bias towards your customers. Avoid this location!
