I brought my dog, Jasper, in because he had a painful scrotal wound and had been whining constantly. Within a few minutes, I was told the veterinarian/Dr. Lara Curtis couldn’t complete the exam because he was too painful and reactive. I understand that staff safety is important, but I was left without a diagnosis or treatment plan. Instead, vet never came to speak with me rather the technician gave me gabapentin and trazodone, recommended antiseptic wipes despite no diagnosis, and I was instructed to come back the following day.
My biggest frustration was the lack of communication, urgency, and any direct interaction with the veterinarian/Lara. Everything was relayed through the technician, and I never had the opportunity to discuss Jasper’s condition or the treatment plan with the doctor/Dr. Lara Curtis. I was not offered a same-day appointment after the medication had time to take effect, which unnecessarily delayed his care.
I sought care elsewhere 2 hours later that same day. Jasper was successfully examined, diagnosed with a skin infection, and started on treatment immediately. There was no need to delay the start of his recovery.
If your clinic requires painful dogs to be pre-medicated before they can be examined, that should be communicated when the appointment is scheduled. It would save owners time, reduce stress for pets that are already in pain, and avoid delaying treatment.

I adopted my puppy in March 2026 and decided to try Vetco on Brodie for vaccinations and establishing vet care. I have had nothing but excellent service and communication at this clinic. From the front desk staff who held my puppy while I signed in so she wouldn't touch the floor, to the vet tech who was kind to my puppy while taking vitals and explaining costs and procedures, to the incredibly knowledgeable and personable vet (Dr. Curtis) who has now managed a few GI and stomach mass issues with my pup; I have been nothing but happy and confident with this incredible team. I have been able to easily get in for appointments, I never have to wait to be roomed, room wait times are low, staff is great, vet care is amazing. I would (and do) recommend this clinic to my friends and family. I liked it so much we signed up for the Vital Care Premier which is a huge bang for our buck. 10/10 would recommend.

Made an appointment for my dogs ear infection, my dog was in a lot of pain and is also aggressive when going to the vet. When i went in for consult I told this to the vet tech and also explained the pus and blood coming out of his ear I told her my dog was not cooperating and cried when we touched his ear. I offered to put a muzzle on him and she said no we have one. She took him and less than 2 minutes later comes back saying they cannot do anything and that the vet would prescribe Gabapentin and Trazadone. I asked if any antibiotics would be prescribed she said no bc they were not able to swab him. (The pus and blood, fever and my dog howling in pain is probably a huge indicator of an infection). I thanked her but declined and said I have gabapentin and Trazadone at home. Now I understand my 15 pound shitzu dog is aggressive and hard to deal with, and it’s for security on both ends. But they didn’t even try and help, I offered to put a muzzle or hold him down myself ( he lets me do it). They said no. I took him to another vet and turns out he has an abscess in his ear, my poor baby is in so much pain!
In conclusion DO NOT BRNG YOUR PET HERE IF YOU HAVE AN AGRESSIVE DOG! No help at all do not waste your time! I also never saw the vet!
Also they thankfully didn’t charge me.

I have had two five star experiences here. However, they have posted hours on their door and one day, when I went there specifically to pick up a prescription, they were closed. There was nowhere else to get this prescription and it was going to be three or four more days before I could get back there to the area of the store.
When a business has posted hours, I expect to have somebody there to greet me, or a sign where I can get help, even if there is no vet available.

Just shy of $150 for a “check up” which pretty much entailed asking me what type of food my dog eats.
I just needed one $45.00 vaccine so my dog would be current, but they insisted I had to have this “check up” appointment to administer the vaccine.
The only bright spot was the whole thing took less than 10 minutes.
I won’t be back.
