My dog and I did an 8 week training course at Bellum K9. My dog was opinionated, stubborn, and unpredictable prior to our training with Bellum. Walks were nightmares full of leash pulling and pulling towards ANYTHING we came across on the walk, other dogs, animals, and people alike.
I noticed improvements very early on during our training. I say "our" because Bellum sets itself apart by educating YOU on how to correct your dog and guide them through training. Each session is very personal and focused on helping you navigate the nuances of training your dog through Bellum's techniques and expertise. I can't say enough good things about Bellum and the folks that work there.
I continue to recommend Bellum to people who are looking for effective training through a course that is expertly facilitated by the folks there. The training is as fun as it is effective.
This program instilled a sense of confidence in me and helped me give my dog the life I wanted her to have.
To the reader:
Schedule your evaluation and let Shane sell you on his program and methods.
To the Bellum team:
Thank you for your commitment and dedication to helping me get my dog on track. The foundation you helped provide for her has been critical in allowing her to experience the best parts of life.

Perspective matters.
After reading some of the recent negative reviews, I couldn’t help but notice something interesting.
Many of them seem to have one thing in common: they tell us how someone felt, but very little about the years of work, sacrifice, results, and lives that Bellum K9 has impacted.
Anyone can write a one-star review.
Not everyone spends years dedicating their life to helping dogs that other trainers won’t touch.
Not everyone answers calls after hours.
Not everyone sacrifices their own time, money, energy, and peace of mind because they genuinely care about helping people and their dogs succeed. But Shane does.
The reality is that accountability feels different depending on which side of it you’re standing on.
People love honesty-until the honest answer isn’t the answer they wanted.
People love expertise-until an expert tells them something that requires effort, commitment, or responsibility.
People love transparency-until transparency doesn’t align with their expectations.
I’ve watched Shane work tirelessly for dogs and owners. I’ve watched him invest in people long after the transaction was over. I’ve watched him care about outcomes when most businesses would have already moved on. That’s not marketing. That’s character. And character is revealed when nobody is watching.
The easiest thing in today’s world is to blame.
The hardest thing is to ask ourselves if there might be another side to the story.
When I look at Bellum K9 and from my experience with Bellum K9 I don’t see a company built on excuses. I see a company built on results. I see hundreds of owners who sleep better because their dogs are no longer anxious, reactive, fearful, or out of control. I see families who got their lives back. I see dogs who were given another chance. And I see a man whose actions consistently match his words.
No business serving people at scale will ever have a perfect record. That’s reality. The question isn’t whether criticism exists.
The question is whether the criticism accurately reflects the whole story. In my experience, it doesn’t. Because what I’ve witnessed firsthand is integrity, passion, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to helping dogs and their owners succeed.
Bellum K9 wasn’t built on reviews. It was built on trust. It was built on results. And most importantly, it was built on a mission bigger than money: Helping one dog, one owner, and one family at a time.

My experience with Bellum K9 has been very disappointing. I paid approximately $1,500 and $1200 remained unused and requested a refund.
As seen in their attached contract: Option A is specifically labeled as nonrefundable, while Option B does not contain the same nonrefundable language. Despite this, Bellum K9 has informed me that Option B is also nonrefundable and has refused to return my unused funds.
I encourage anyone considering doing business with this company to carefully review the contract terms and obtain written clarification regarding refund policies before making payment. In my experience, the company has not honored the contract terms as written by themselves.

First, appears to be a scam or shell company as the payments are routed through a NON US bank account!!!
Second, upon arrival, no clear signage and no one other than a single ‘trainer’ in a remote building. I should have left at that point, but took my dog inside.
Third, when inside the building with my dog, there was no real training to complete any real assessment. Simply a ‘recording me’ he made on his computer while sitting on a sofa getting a sales pitch, then a short handling with my dog. Again, I should have left when I saw the assortment of dog torture devices show as training tools—-Spiked collars, shock collars, etc. My dog was afraid of the trainer, and the trainer did not keep distance from me —-which was unsettling since we were the only two people around for acres.
As nothing twas appropriate for my dog and definitely not a location I would go by myself again, I tried to politely leave (mentioning my husband).
The sales ‘trainer’ was mad, then stated something like ‘after our phone call, I expected you to sign up for the program’ . What they wanted: $2000 -$4000 for maybe 10 - 1 hr sessions, for a POODLE to wear choker collars and shock collars.
Furthermore, we never talked prior to this day regarding details, cost or match, with only contact with the company regarding setting an appointment. This is where I quickly left, as the comment and tone were hostile.
Ironically I received an appointment cancelled notification immediately after I left the building. Scary!! Why? To hide the fact that I was there?
Well, great that they have my personal and payment info, a video of me, and they now know my dog. I have nothing for my first payment except a reminder to NOT TRUST companies that advertise this way and people who exploit those of us that are trying to be responsible loving pet owners! (Wait, I have an email with yet another link that I suspect contains hacking info or more personal info).
Don’t look at the 4 or 5 stars, look closely at the 1 star as this is consistent with what other (likely real) clients have experienced!!
