  I am extremely disappointed with the grooming service my dog received at this Petco location. We were contacted during the appointment and informed that our dog was anxious and would not allow the groomer to continue. We were told that the grooming session would be canceled and that we would not be charged. While I appreciated the phone call, the situation became very concerning when we arrived to pick him up. Instead of finding that the grooming had simply been stopped, we were given a dog whose body had already been shaved while his head was left largely untouched. The explanation we received was that he had become anxious, attempted to jump from the grooming table, and had apparently injured himself while being restrained. We were also told that he would not cooperate with the drying process, making it impossible to continue. What immediately stood out to us was our dog’s behavior. He is normally friendly, affectionate, and eager to interact with us. However, when we picked him up, he seemed unusually withdrawn and uncomfortable. Once we returned home, he spent the rest of the day curled up and inactive. He showed no interest in playing, even when encouraged with his favorite toys, which is highly unusual for him. Concerned by this sudden change in behavior, we performed a closer inspection and discovered that one of his nails was covered in blood. It appeared that the nail had been cut too short, causing an injury that had not been disclosed to us. This raised serious concerns about what actually occurred during the grooming session and whether the full extent of the incident was communicated honestly and transparently. Accidents can happen in any grooming environment, and I understand that anxious dogs may present challenges. However, if an injury occurs, pet owners deserve to be informed immediately and accurately. Finding a bleeding nail only after returning home damaged our trust in this location and left us questioning the quality of care and supervision provided during the appointment. Our dog left the facility visibly distressed and injured. As pet owners, that is unacceptable. I hope management takes this complaint seriously, reviews the incident thoroughly, and ensures that future customers receive complete transparency whenever an animal is injured while under Petco’s care.

  Leslie is great with our little dog. She is afraid of so many people and guys. We bought her from the same Petco that we now take her to get groomed when they had there dog adoption in Nov. this was her 2nd bath and nail grind here and I’m hoping after a few more she will adjust and not be scared to come here. Leslie is so patient with princess and so so sweet I’m glad we were lucky to get her. All the groomers seem very nice and love what they do from watching them when we were waiting on Sunday. Thank you Leslie for taking such good care of princess

  Love this Petco for grooming! Rain is a fantastic stylist and it is apparent she loves what she does. Highly recommend this Petco!!
