Tell me why we had a drop off appointment this morning and after they call us to let us know that our dog is ready, I show up to this: a “we are closed sign.” oh I’m sorry, did you plan on telling me where my dog is since you closed for the day? Then Amanda comes out and tells me I need to wait for her to go to the bathroom. Then she comes out and tells me that I need to wait for her to clock in. Then she informed me that his medication, the entire purpose of booking this appointment, is not ready and now I have to wait for that too. Zero sense of urgency. Zero respect for other people’s time. Zero communication.

I took my pup in due to a swollen paw pad. Dr. Kirin called and told me the area was bleeding and he felt that it was an allergic reaction to an unknown source, he gave my pup antibiotics wrapped her paw and gave ointment.
When I picked my pet up, the Vet Tech informed me that it was a probable cyst on her paw and I would need to watch it to see if it grew or drained. This is nowhere near what the actual vet said!
I asked for the vet so I could get more clarity, then was told they did not have the time to do a work up for the “possible cyst”.
This place is a nightmare, if Dr. Kirin is on duty, request a different vet or just go elsewhere. This was not a good experience…$200+ and I don’t know if it is a cyst, a cut or a bruise!

I have been taking my dog to their groomers, one in particular for over a year, never once was I told that my Dog needed special difficulty handling and of course a different price. NEVER ONCE! It’s bad enough when the groomer decides to rob the customer but to add a negative file on the animal is unforgiving. I would never take my pet back to them again and I’d advise anyone else not to go to them for any service. They are dishonest, and that cannot be tolerated.

Miranda — she’s usually there first thing in the morning, wearing red scrubs and sitting on the left side of the front desk when you’re facing it.
Miranda’s customer service is truly exceptional. From my very first visit, she made everything easier and more welcoming. I had so many questions since Onyx is my first dog—and a rescue—and she spent about 30 minutes patiently answering every single one. My initial sign‑up took so long because of all my questions that a line even started forming, but she never rushed me or made me feel like a burden. She also recommended the Wellness Plan, which has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my pup. I 10/10 recommend it to any dog owner, and whenever someone asks me about a vet, I always tell them Banfield because of how helpful that plan has been. Every time Miranda is there, the whole place feels friendlier and more comforting. She consistently goes above and beyond, and I always appreciate seeing her.

I am very disappointed with the hospital and service at the Alamo Ranch clinic and did not renew the plan. The people give a different answer to many questions, depends on who you talk to. My pet got all the workup promised but I requested to speak to the veterinarian because I had questions since my cat is (or was) feral. The vet did not call me as promised and she walked right out of the clinic in front of me when I was picking up my pet. Over the phone the reps seem helpful but when at the clinic it seems like they can't get rid of you fast enough. I won't be taking my pet back to this clinic because I don't feel they are very dependable.

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
