  Josiah was the rudest person I have ever been helped by at any store, he tried to convince me that two completely different products that were in two completely different places, labeled with two completely different prices, were the exact same product and that’s why the system was charging me what it was charging me after showing him proof of the price on the shelf and proof of the price on the website. He’s still debated me and insisted I was wrong because their system isn’t ringing up the correct price. His attitude towards me was nasty because he is unable to admit when he’s wrong. After doubling down and insisting that I was still incorrect, Josiah gave me a refund anyways, because of the pricing online that reflects exactly what I tried to show him in store. Please double check your receipts. People. This Guy will try to embarrass you for not wanting to be ripped off.

  I come in every week to get food for our 6 animals and I have never had any problems. Everyone is always kind and helpful!

  Typical Petco. Selection is good. Has animals, although I never realized how expensive ferrets and birds have become.

  I’m not one to make bad reviews, but this PetCo store in Odessa is terrible. No one is readily available to assist customers by the fish section and had a problem with an in-store return. For one, personal questions of just buying feeder fish was inappropriate when their own fish do not look properly maintained. Second, we bought dog shoes that weren’t the right fit and it was under the 60 day window so we went today (5/22/26) to initiate a return. JOSIAH (the manager) and JOSH kept stating that this SPECIFIC store does not accept the 60-day window return and WE even showed a WRITTEN policy online how it is accepted. Josiah then said EXPLICITLY to not write a bad review about this. We then called customer service and they told us that it is accepted and it is not just for certain stores in the country or in Texas. So, why were we told otherwise? Even if this doesn’t help the situation, I think it needs to be shared how utterly INCOMPETENT and IGNORANT these employees are.
