  I’m editing this to add that I did follow up with the number that was replied to this review and the manager had no idea what I was talking about. She said that they don’t respond to reviews and that it’s an automated response from corporate. I thought the store genuinely wanted to see how they can make things right, but they didn’t even see this review. This is the second time I’ve visited this location and had a negative interaction with the same associate, Musica. During my first visit, she barely acknowledged me while checking me out. Instead of interacting with me, she spent the entire transaction complaining about work-related issues to another employee. She never greeted me, asked if I found everything I needed, or even looked at me. She handed me my receipt without making eye contact, which came across as very dismissive and unprofessional. Today, I asked another associate for help locating a specific bag of dog food because the shelf was empty. While that employee was assisting me, Musica walked over, interrupted the interaction without acknowledging me, and redirected the other associate’s attention away from helping me. Unfortunately, the food I needed was still unavailable. This is the second time in the past two weeks that it has been out of stock. While I was in the pet food aisle, I also noticed bugs around several bags of dog food, and one even landed on me. That was honestly pretty concerning. To make matters worse, the vet clinic was closed even though it was advertised online as being open. I was seriously considering signing up for Petco’s new paid rewards program because I wanted to make Petco my one-stop shop for my pet’s needs. However, after repeatedly dealing with poor customer service, out-of-stock essentials, questionable cleanliness in the pet food area, and inaccurate clinic hours, I’m reconsidering and will likely take my business elsewhere.

  Very disappointed Came in last minute to buy some fish still had 30 minutes prior to closing young lady denied me saying it was too late. Went to a different location and bought some turtles. Will never be coming back to his location. Worst customer service.

  I really enjoy coming here to get my dog and fish supplies. They're very helpful and I will definitely becoming back.

  I want to share a concerning experience I had today at the petco located at 2041 Hwy 287 N. Between about 3:15–3:32 PM, my husband and I witnessed a groomer (Grace) handling a red-haired mini doodle in a way that felt extremely aggressive and inappropriate. She was repeatedly grabbing the dog and forcefully trying to make it stand when it clearly didn’t want to. Instead of using gentle handling, she was pulling and pushing the dog, and we could hear the dog crying when she did that as well as talking to the dog frustrated. It was honestly very upsetting to watch. I brought it to the attention of the cashier (Skylar) and asked her to look, but my concern was dismissed. I also spoke with Hannah(sales floor manager), and while she acknowledged me, I was not offered a grooming manager or any further help. I left feeling completely unheard and emotionally distressed. I’m sharing this because I believe animals deserve to be treated with care and respect, and situations like this should not be ignored.
