My dog got attached to from another dog so I took her to crystal falls because they were the closest place. I love my dog and we’ve done so much to take care of her but after losing my husband I was not in a position to pay thousands of dollars. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I understand tests like X-rays as well as a blood transfusion needed to be done but the bill kept getting higher and higher. I feel like my dog was put through so much that it was not worth it. In the end I was able to take my dog home but it cost me over 16k. My dog didn’t live the much more time and not only did she go through this but im burdened with the cost this place had charged me. I have 5 other dogs and I’m struggling as is with losing my husband. I was not advised properly and I would never go to this place again especially after discussing it over with my regular vet. They believe the cost was outrageous.

We are so grateful for the amazing care our dog Frida received here. Every technician and doctor was incredibly kind, compassionate, and patient with all my questions during such a stressful time. We never felt rushed and never felt like she was just “another dog”.
What meant the most was realizing the team genuinely cared about Frida’s wellbeing above everything else. When I talked to Dr. Sabelhaus we decided to bring her home because she wasn’t eating at the hospital, they took every precaution and made sure we felt prepared and supported. Thank you for treating Frida with so much love and care.

My dog cut his leg open at bedtime. So no
Local vets were answering. My friend Heather brought me supplies to doctor him up and I attempted to wrap his leg and apply pressure in hopes that it would clot enough over night until my vet could suture him upon opening hours. It was bleeding thru and soaking blankets and towels. My friend Susan came over to hold his leg for me so I could get my son somewhere safe. I called the emergency vet in Boerne and then Crystal Falls. Even though Crystal Falls location was 20 minutes further away, I decided to drive there! Because the receptionist Nikki was so kind, concerned and helpful! When we got here, all the staff were praising my Pitt, telling me how sweet his face is! How cute his ears are. Touched my heart. The vet was cool as a fan! And these people helped my pup! Got him sedated and stitched up! Caroline just brought me my pitbull and he is happy and good as new. Apparently he was able to give multiple people here kisses so he is STOKED! This place is the best.

Great emergency vet with fair prices. The treatment plan for my cat was reasonable - no unnecessary testing was pushed . The plan was thoroughly explained and cost was clear. The front desk staff, tech Hunter and Dr Sabelhaus were all wonderful. They were well staffed and I think they were faster than a regular vet visit! This is the second time I’ve ever needed an emergency vet and this was a much better experience than the last time at a different ER Vet. Thank you so much!

I would highly recommend this place during an animal emergency (unfortunately I’ve been here twice for our dog and once for our cat). From the front desk staff to the techs and the veterinarians, they are knowledgeable, kind, caring and compassionate. I’ve never had to wait long and from the waiting room to triage rooms, it is very clean.
I ended up having to put our cat down and they explained the process step by step and stayed with me until he passed in my arms. I will be forever grateful for their guidance, patience and compassion.
