We absolutely love The Dog Stop Morton Ranch! Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. One of the things we appreciate most is that they always know our dog Lucy by name as soon as she walks through the door. It really shows how much they care about the dogs they look after.
They’re always accommodating, helpful, and you can tell they genuinely love what they do. And let’s be honest… they definitely love to spoil Lucy! 😂🐶
It gives us peace of mind knowing she’s somewhere she’s loved, recognized, and well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Our dog checked into the Dog Stop for boarding on 08/26/2026 at 11:45AM and was picked up on 08/30/2026 at 5:30PM.
We've included two pictures from before he was dropped off, one picture from when we picked him up, and several pictures from when we took him to the ER Vet the same night. Pictures are blurred due to the graphic nature of the condition.
The vet diagnosed this as Acute Moist Dermatitis with an infection. We don’t know how long he had that issue but it wasn’t there on either cheek when we dropped him off (see pictures). We were never informed of the issue, and of the four days he was there, we only received an update picture of him once.
When we picked up our dog and saw both cheeks raw and open, our first thought was that our dog was bit by another dog (which was later confirmed by the vet that he was not bitten, though this is what we asked the Dog Stop staff about at this time). I asked the staff onsite what happened, but they didn’t know. They called their owner who said she wasn’t in that day and would call me the next day. I was appalled by this response as it seemed like a worthy case for a phone call at that instant, given that this was her business and we found an issue with our dog upon pick up. The front desk staff kindly began reviewing footage without me asking. The owner then called the front desk and said she wanted to speak with me. Right away, she became defensive and said that our dog plays very roughly with others and that no altercation was documented. She carried on with her defense and said things along the lines of: you can’t hold my staff to review the footage (although I never asked them to, they kindly did it themselves), he could have been allergic to the plastic collar provided, he came in with the cheek issue, I’m not there to see it so what do you want us to do (although her staff sent pictures). I’ve never had a business communicate with me this way, regardless of the situation. The owner persistently shoved the blame on us and would not at the slightest consider that her facility could be at fault. The owner wouldn’t let me get a decent word in so I refused to speak to her further.
I want to make it clear that our dog was not bit by another dog here, however we were never notified of the issue that was developing on his cheeks. Had the issue been noticed sooner, we believe it wouldn’t have gotten so bad to where he needed to go to the ER Vet two days in a row. The owner was extremely rude, defensive and dismissive of our concern for our dog, who was under their care for four days.
The facility tried to reach out via text, not phone call, the next day to ask how our dog was doing. Given the horrendous attitude of the owner from the day before, the text seemed disingenuous and we did not want to reply. To be clear, the front desk staff we interacted with were kind and helpful throughout; our issue is with how the owner handled this entire situation. We want absolutely nothing to do with this facility moving forward.
