I brought my dog here for years, and in the beginning (including at the old location), I felt like the team took great care of him. He has always been slightly anxious at the vet, which I know can make appointments more challenging, but I previously felt they handled him with patience and care.
Over the past few years, my experience changed. I felt there was less patience with his anxiety, and appointments started to feel rushed. During one visit, methods were used that I had not approved of, including using an e-collar as a way to muzzle/restrain him after we had already approved and tried sedation and anti-anxiety medication. Since that experience, his fear of the vet has become significantly worse, even after switching locations. Imagine getting drugged, and then someone tries to shock you and tape your mouth shut.
I ultimately decided to leave after hearing a similar experience from a friend and realizing this office no longer felt like the right fit for my dog. I understand veterinary teams have difficult jobs, especially with anxious pets, but I wish there had been more empathy, communication, patience, and consent around how his anxiety was handled. For pets with fear or anxiety, I would recommend asking very specific questions ahead of time about their handling approach.
This is the worst place To take your dog, I have a bad experience I lost my dog in March. I took my dog in January. He has a a bleeding on his nose. The Vet told me to buy something over-the-counter And then she say he has a tumor. She didn’t even give me anything. She sent me to a different place when they want to charge me $6000 just to do an x-ray. I took it to a Different Vet he say that he has cancer The vet gave him a medicine for his bleeding. Benfield didn’t even give me nothing. They want to send you to a different place so they can charge you a lot of money I find a good veterinarian, and I will take my second dog to the new vet veterinarian

Service is excellent, however, pricing for services and medications has become increasingly expensive and hard to justify.

Love brining my fur babies here. They are always so kind & personable. They even managed to give my 'toe sensitive' baby a good nail trim. Thank you so much Ms. Claire & Ms. Emily!
This place is horrible. Use to be good 3 years ago but has gone downhill pass two years. Nobody communicates anything, records are never updated or removed for some reason. Took pet in for visit, here I am thinking everyting is good just to be called a week later saying my pet may have parasites. Im convinced this location doesnt really care about pets. Everytime you go in the front desk is full of staff laughing and joking around soon as they see someone coming in they all disappear. This location is trash and hurting the Banfield name. This is why big box hospitals are getting a bad wrap and folks are seeking independent or private vets because the complaints fall on deaf ears and issues are never taken seriously. Please do better and hire better people.
