About

Veterinarian
The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) saves animal lives! TCAP has been a leader in animal welfare since its formation in 2002. TCAP provides compassionate solutions to pet overpopulation and euthanasia. As a non-profit, TCAP provides the lowest prices for preventative animal care throughout North Texas. In 2007, the Humane Society of the United States named TCAP as the "most innovative approach to animal welfare in the nation." TCAP's skilled and caring veterinary team has spayed/neutered more than 540,000 animals and has vaccinated more than 1 million animals against the deadly rabies virus. TCAP's ultimate goal is to substantially reduce animal overpopulation and euthanasia throughout North Texas, while we promote animal welfare.

Not a cat place, yes, they will vaccinate and treat your cat. They seem to treat the dogs better than the cats. Referring to the dogs by the names, the owners gave them. And referring to the cats as that cat, even though the cats have names and a home. Despite that my biggest problem with this facility is the extreme amount of cross-contamination that is practiced here The nurse, or whoever gave my cat, his vaccinations did not wash his hands did not sanitize his hands did not takeoff. Any gloves did not put on any gloves. Had his hands on every dog in front of us, regardless if filthy or clean. And when he tried to reach him to get the cat out of the carrier that my cat was just stressed and nervous, and I could tell he was putting stress on the cat himself, and I even said let me step in and take care of my cat. He refused and pursued to have my cat hiss at him from the stress and pain. He put my cat through when Me the owner could have simply let the cat out myself since I already have that trust built with my animal. To finish it off when the quack went to go put the dewormer in my cat mouth he shot out about 75% of that medicine all across my cat face and chest shrugged his shoulders, and played it off, saying that my cat would just lick it off of him later. Despite his fur being stained and most of the medicine being in his fur and not digested as it was attended to be. How careless can one be with that? After the unprofessional manhandling, I was left in a lobby with dogs going crazy at the side of my cat, trying to get to my cat No separation between the two species to ensure quality of life for owners and their animals Just to wait as if in a dystopian lobby to pay when that could’ve been taken care of before I even got the procedure procedures done I suggest go to tractor supply or your own local vet clinic, especially if you have a feline I will be suing them from malpractice if my cat is susceptible to anything due to the negligence of the staff, not washing their hands and not wearing the right protective personal equipment when handling my animal

Wonderful staff, super affordable. You can tell they love these animals. Very gentle with my scared and snappy rat terrier. If you go a little later in the morning, around 10:30-11, the line is shorter. Everyone lines up at 9 when they open hoping to beat the rush.

TCAP is the best! Very reasonably priced vaccinations for your pet, plus an affordable spay/neuter program. While they do not offer appointments for vaccinations - it's strictly walk-ins - they do have a good system to get your pet checked in, and they let you know by text and email when it's your turn. (To have your pet spayed or neutered you do need to schedule an appointment.) Staff are courteous, kind, and have good communication.
