Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

Too many mistakes such as lost my cat’s stool sample, emailed me with a different pet’s information, a serious misdiagnosis and even charging for services not done. The entire time, they repeated over and over that I should get the monthly wellness plan. It felt like sales were all they cared about. I precisely had a wellness plan for another pet and it really didn’t cover much therefore was not worth it. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with Banfield as I expected vets to be caring and detail oriented. Beware!

To whom it may concern, My name is ReNeisha Lee, and I have been a Banfield Wellness Plan member with my dog for the past nine years. During that time, I have utilized several Banfield locations for my pet’s care. Unfortunately, my experience with the MacArthur Boulevard in the Irving, Texas location has been consistently disappointing and has involved the poorest customer service I have encountered. On multiple occasions, I have experienced rude and unprofessional behavior from both the veterinary technicians and front desk staff. Most recently, on August 19, 2026, I received a call from a receptionist to confirm an upcoming appointment. Because I frequently receive spam calls, I typically allow a caller to begin speaking before responding. When I attempted to explain this, the receptionist interrupted me and abruptly asked, "Are you going to confirm the appointment?" This interaction was the final straw and led me to decide not to bring my pet to that appointment. Afterward, I attempted to contact the location twice to obtain the name and contact information of the lead veterinarian. However, my calls were not answered. As a result of these repeated experiences, I will no longer be using the MacArthur Boulevard location and will instead visit the Lewisville location, as it is the nearest alternative. However, if these customer service concerns cannot be addressed, I will be forced to reconsider my Wellness Plan membership and seek veterinary care elsewhere. I currently pay approximately $50 per month for preventative care services, yet I only utilize the plan two or three times per year and do not feel that I am receiving the level of service and professionalism I should expect as a long-term customer. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I would appreciate a response regarding how Banfield intends to address these concerns.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The staff was incredibly rude. I brought my dog in because he had hot spots. They took him to the back, and I’m not sure what all happened back there, but all I know is that they shaved him around the hot spots. When he came back, he was traumatized. He was whimpering and skittish, acting like someone was about to hit him. This was not the first time my dog had hot spots or had to be shaved like this, but he has never come back from anywhere this traumatized. On top of all of that, before he went to the back, I was quoted one price, and when they brought him back, the total was over $200 more than what I was originally quoted. My dog went from being fun-loving, friendly, and the type of dog who would happily walk up to anyone because he wanted to be everyone’s friend, to now being a dog who cowers in the corner as if he’s afraid he’s in danger 24/7. He NEVER acted like this before I brought him to this TERRIBLE vet clinic. PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!!!!

My dog is injured after having an exam here. I have been calling them all morning since they opened, but their phone line says their office is closed. I will never bring my dog back here.

The staff is very friendly and handles my dog with care. I am not kept waiting long and am always updated regularly. Dr. Osadiaye went over every test result and took the time to answer all of my concerns. I was also provided with easy follow up care instruction with great detail.
