  I have been taking my pet's to a different Petco location for years. However, the one time I decide to take them to the Shepard location for grooming, multiple add-ons are added to the total cost (totaling more than 30% increase) than what I've been paying for the last year. I will be avoiding this location in the future.

  I came here on 7.28.26 because my puppy decided to eat a bee after she was stung in the face. This place was the closest to my house in an emergency so I popped in with no appointment. The girl at the front desk took one look at my pup's swollen face and took me in right away. The tech came in about a minute later and about 5 mins later Dr. Medina came and checked her out. They took her back gave her some shots and meds and about 20 mins later the swelling already started to subside. Dr. Medina's bedside manner was great as well as everyone else's sense of urgency. I appreciated the prompt attention and the time everyone took to help my pup out with no appointment. I also liked the upfront pricing I went over with the tech prior to them servicing my pup instead of receiving this huge bill after the treatment. After everything was complete, I went to check out and because this was my first time here they waived the initial cost of the visit and I only was charged for the meds which were less than $50 (for an emergency may I add!!). The service and attentiveness I received from all the staff makes me re-consider switching vets. I will definitely use these guys in another emergency situation or when my regular vet is not available. Thanks to these guys my pup Thelma is doing much better!!! Below are my pup before and after.

  I love my Petco here!! But SHAME on corporate for not getting the door fixed!!!!! It has been broken for a month & since it is automatic, they just have to keep it propped open. In 108 degree humidity! A month?!?! And counting. Utterly inexcusable for staff AND the animals that reside there to have to endure!!! Kitties!!! I am livid with PetCo corporate! I love everyone here at this store but if I were an employee at the counter I would be taking my own measures to get something done!!! Sick of complacency too. It’s unsafe, uncomfortable, and a shame!! I am worried for the kitties!!!

  Bad customer service a long wait I needed help getting fishes we asked the cashier and she called out and didn't really let us know much she said someone was coming we waited over 20 minutes no one came to assist us with the fishes so I approached the cashier again and asked how much longer do you think it'll take and she didn't say anything to me she just talked into her mic in a low voice and didn't let me know anything. Can't even get any help with the fishes. Had to walk right out.
