- JVJessie ValleMay 6, 20261.0I always had a feeling my pets were not being treated. I took my cat to a different location, and the vet there diagnosed my cat with liver disease. I followed up with a visit to my regular Bandfield location. Ther was no mention of the previous diagnosis, and not to mention the times my pets went for their comprehensive exams, all to tell me everything was ok, with no blood tests performed or signs of treatment whatsoever. I had a young german shepard, I was very consistent with her comprehensive exams, she died unexpectlly of cancer, I took her to an emrgency pet hospital when she failed to eat, only to find out that she had cancer all in her and that her split had rapture, I had to make the hard decition to put her to sleep, Bandfield never detected and/or mention anything about this, and when I called to find a resolution they made me paid the premium for 9 months after her death. I have 5 cats, 2 Guinea pigs, and a snake. I canceled my membership as soon as I could; they are a rip-off. I can go on and on. My 17 YO cat went for "dental cleanings," and when I picked him up, there was no sign of an IV line or anything that would indicate he'd had the treatment.

Have been on the wellness plan for years. Affordable, comes with extra perks. Definitely recommend. Only thing I can complain about which I know Banfield has no control over is some of the costumers are flat out rude. Yes I have a big dog, yes I have my dog 100% under my control, I do not appreciate snarky comments from small dog owners repeatedly hollering at me “ do you have him! Do you have him” and the best I could muster was “yes I have HER” And then turn and complain to anyone that will listen to her about “big dogs shouldn’t be scheduled the same time as little dogs” Guess she forgot she was at a vet appointment where hello, other animals are going to be there. I can control my big dogs on a leash vs a small dog just sitting in your pocket no leash. SMDH rude is just everywhere now a days.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
