  I am writing to express my disappointment with what was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Petco Grooming location. From the moment I arrived, the salon waiting area was overcrowded. Out of consideration for the staff and other customers, I waited outside for over 10 minutes until several dogs had been checked in and there was room to enter. When I finally reached the check-in counter, I was informed that I was already 15 minutes late for my appointment. I explained that I had been waiting outside due to the crowded lobby. The manager Draven Hansen responded by stating that my dog’s grooming appointment would now take 4–5 hours instead of the originally estimated 3–4 hours. This was not an issue for me, and I was willing to proceed. I then provided proof of my dog’s vaccination records. I was asked for additional documentation, so I logged into my veterinarian’s online portal and showed the records again. While attempting to locate the specific document being requested, the salon lead took my phone off the counter and began navigating through my veterinarian’s portal herself. At no point did she ask for permission to handle my personal device. I found this behavior highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Even after I provided records that clearly displayed my dog’s name, vaccination information, and veterinarian details, I was repeatedly told that the documentation was insufficient. Rather than working with me to resolve the issue, the salon lead spoke to me in what I perceived to be a condescending manner and ultimately told me that I should simply reschedule my appointment for another day. The entire interaction left me feeling disrespected, frustrated, and unwelcome. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and disregard for personal boundaries were unacceptable. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to this location. In full transparency, this incident has also made me reconsider using Petco Grooming services altogether. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers do not have a similar experience.

  My dog Teddy's cut was perfect. He looked very neat, clean and smelled great. The groomer did a great job.
