- ASAustin SimsJun 30, 20264.0The staff and the doctors are always great here. Everytime we bring in our pets they take great care of them. I do feel like everytime we come here it costs up upwards of $300 which is expensive and they soften the blow with the wellness plan, but It only does so much.

Dr. Michael Cuttrell and Vet Tech Caleb provided professional and compassionate treatment for my dog, who required euthanasia due to multiple serious medical issues. This review acknowledges their very kind and thoughtful words and actions in dealing with what is a very difficult part of their jobs. I thank them both and am grateful they were the ones working with me on this painful event.

My compliant is Techs are trained to ask me for Test when I check in. Tucker had red eyes and discharge. I was asked "we recommend 2 test approx $100" I said no to both, How can Banfield rep tech recommend a test without seeing my pet?? When I go to the doctor w/ illness red eye and the nurse is recommending test without seeing doctor, that is crazy. I said no to both, and said let doctor look first and then see what is recommended, turns out doctor Jessica Carmack recommended 1 test, not both, I was wrongly recommended test by tech when not needed, and would have wasted $50. I am not happy. Who Am I or who is Tech to know what test are needed? This is clearly a Sales Strategy to ring up more Money. Again I love the staff but not Sales Procedures.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
