I showed up for a follow up appointment for vaccines. I have a yearly wellness plan and these are included. This appointment had been on the books for 3 weeks. No one called to confirm or let me know there was anything wrong with my account. After checking in and being brought into a room, an employee came in and said I had a balance and they could not even look at my dogs file until I paid. They couldn’t even tell me what the balance was for. I paid my full balance at my prior appointment, so I asked for an explanation to what I paid then. She came back and said I didn’t clear my balance last appointment. I only paid for an eye procedure. My dog never received an eye procedure, he was there for his yearly visit that is completely covered by his plan. I had paid for his medication and a balance that was on his account. Looking back they never even explained what the intital balance was but I trusted them.
They had no resolutions and couldn’t give me anymore information until I paid.
The fact that no one called before the appointment, they couldn’t show my any records or receipts till I paid, and wasted my time coming up there are all bothersome. If this is what it takes to get some follow up vaccines, I will cancel my wellness plan and find another vet

This place used to be great but the entire staff changed and it really went downhill. There used to be a really personal touch to each visit and that's gone. Some of the people that work there are downright rude.
I took my dog there for 10 years and she recently died. I called and told them and they said they'd update her records. That's it. I had scheduled her an appointment at Petfolk because I was switching vets but she died before she could make the appointment and they sent me a sympathy card. The ER vet that put her to sleep sent me a sympathy card. But the place that I took her to for 10 YEARS didn't care that she was gone.
If you want a vet that cares for and loves your pet, don't go to Banfield.

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
