- LVLauren VandeverJul 19, 20261.0When you go to a store like Petco you expect to go there, ask question and geta least a little bit of guidance.. maybe not a precise answer but a smidge of guidance. But not this Petco I was purchasing a $300 canister filter.. I asked the associate about the quality, what I needed for the filter, etc and the associate said, " you're better off asking Google" and "I don't know what does it say on the box?" No knowledge. If I went to Google I wouldn't be shopping at Petco because although it's 1 mile from my house Google brings up products at pet smart and Walmart first. If I wanted to guess what to do based on the Google rabbit hole I wouldn't have walked in to Petco. I dread going to this store if I don't know what I need to get because I know I will leave more confused and frustrated than when I started. This is not a one time event. It's every time I ask a question whether it be about turtles, fish, cats or dogs. "Ask Google" is the answer.
