I will be leaving two reviews based on my experience with the clinic. The first details my experience with the front office coordinator, Mel B. On 7/30, I called into the clinic because my dog was severely ill. I am a wellness plan member and had a balance for my plan because I didn’t switch the card that it was on. She told me that she couldn’t see my dog because of the balance. I understood that completely - at the end of the day that’s a business. I called the wellness plan customer service line and took care of the balance and then called the clinic back, informed them that it was taken care of and after listening to my pets symptoms, I was told to bring him in so that he could be screened for pancreatitis. When I walked in the door Mel B was at the front desk tending to another client. We were not greeted, it was like I didn’t even exist. She didn’t even acknowledge that we were there. Shortly thereafter another staff member came up and asked me if I had been helped. When I said “no”, Mel immediately announced that I had a balance. I informed her that it had been taken care of. Mind you, still no greeting. Just collections activity. My dog was checked in and I left but when I left I informed the tech that if she couldn’t reach me, she could call my daughter first. Then my son. I was working when Dr called her back. They were able to reach my son, gave him pricing and then told him to have me call him back. When I did, Mel B answered the phone and told me “we just told someone what is going on with your dog. You need to talk amongst yourselves and figure out what happened and what needs to be paid. The doctor doesn’t have time to talk to you”. Needless to say I was pissed. When I arrived to the clinic, she was at the front desk. When I asked to speak to a manager, she rolled her eyes and walked to the back - still NO greeting. At the end of the day, I completely get it. There are other animals that needed help and mine wasn’t their sole client. But my dog is like my child. I was terrified about what was going on with him. She could’ve easily said “I’m so sorry the doctor is unavailable right now”. Instead I was treated like an inconvenience. Mel B, even though you are not a tech or a vet, you still took a job in the healthcare industry. That requires empathy and compassion. Do better or get another job. I will be escalating this to corporate. NO ONE deserves to be treated that way when it comes to their animals.

I LOVE Banfield and have been using them for the last 14 years. I have gone to this Banfield location 3 times so far because we moved. Considering that they need more staff they are handling things well. So far all of the staff have been nice and very knowledgeable. I hope they can get some more hands on deck because they are very busy.

Been a banfield customer and care plan subscriber for years now and have watched the management of this company and location fall apart in front of my eyes. The vets and vet techs are amazing every time I go, this is not a comment to them, this is a comment specifically to banfield management at the corporate level. This location is dirty, literally to the point of unsanitary. Bring my dog in any time of day, even 7am and the exam rooms are dirty with evident dried blood and dirt on the floor. Plus the calendars in each exam room say 2023, showing no real attention to detail on cleanliness & no tissues in the rooms either. Additionally, when I just went on 7/21/2026 the computers were down for several days. My dog thankfully didn’t have care delayed thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the vets and vet techs, but the management had no disaster recovery plan and left the vets and techs without computer services for multiple days. Then when the computer comes back up, managements instruction to communicate to patients is “if you don’t pay immediately for something we should have been able to collect payment for on day of care, but due to our own mid management we couldn’t so pay now or go to collections.” Just very unprofessional and ridiculous considering I have a card on file and pay every month for care plan on two dogs, the visit was like a few months of my plan subscription so not crazy $ but dang. Just charge my card or don’t threaten patients who pay every month with collections, just distasteful and disrespectful. I get that there are patients who can’t afford the care when they bring their dog in, my grandfather was a vet with his own practice for 30yrs, but this is not the kind of practice my grandfather would have ran.
