  I booked a $79 grooming package for my dog Leo at Petco, which included a bath, haircut, and nail trim. However, the groomer told me she couldn’t do the haircut because Leo wasn’t stable, and I’d need to bring him back next Sunday for that. Despite no haircut, I was charged $72 just for the bath and nail trim—yet his nails were still sharp afterward. When I asked about just a haircut next time, they quoted me $92—and said they wouldn’t do just the haircut alone. They’d insist on a full bath and nail trim again, just a week later, for the full $92. I feel like this wasn’t fair or transparent and wanted to share my experience. The funny part is I gave the stylist $10 tip . Very unprofessional. It took her 3 hours . To wash and nail trim which was not trimmed!!! He is a 6 month month mini golden doodle not even a big dog. I dropped him @2 pm and picked him up @5:40pm . I hope you get what you deserve ms Kennedi and your coworkers. I didn’t pay piece of paper I paid money and didn’t get the service I paid for. If you don’t like your job try different careers.

  I recently visited this Petco location and unfortunately had a very uncomfortable customer service experience that left me feeling singled out and unwelcome. When I approached the register, there were two associates assisting customers. After one associate finished helping another customer, I stepped forward as the next person in line. Instead of assisting me, the associate, whose name was Jennifer, abruptly told me in a dismissive tone that another associate could help me, while stating she was “on a phone call,” although it did not appear that she was actively assisting anyone at that moment, and immediately went to the back. Shortly afterward, another customer walked up and was immediately greeted and helped by Jennifer who abruptly came from the back without hesitation. What stood out to me was that I only had one bag of pet food and had already been waiting in line, yet I was redirected in a way that felt unnecessary and discourteous. As an African-American customer, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and concerned about whether bias may have played a role in how I was treated. Regardless of intent, the experience did not reflect professionalism, inclusiveness, or respectful customer service. I believe additional customer service and cultural awareness training could be beneficial to help ensure all customers feel respected and treated equally. Because of this experience, I do not plan on returning to this location.

  We have been utilizing this store for Banfield pet services. The store itself is comparable to any other pet store. The vets here however, are very top notch. Dr. Reinisch is amazing. He shows compassion and concern and is truly invested in his veterinary care. The overall staff has always be courteous and professional.
