I had an absolutely awful experience at this Banfield location. I dropped my dog off for scheduled vaccines (including heartworm prevention) and a comprehensive exam specifically to address his severe arthritis pain. I work in healthcare as a pediatric specialist, and I am appalled by the lack of empathy and professionalism here. In my field, we would NEVER dismiss a patient's pain concern. My dog cannot advocate for himself, and it is heartbreaking that the people trusted with his care completely failed him. I authorized a kidney function test to see if he was eligible for Rimadyl. Instead of a proper medical plan, a vet tech named Julia called me to say my only option was pills (which my dog cannot take) and condescendingly told me to just "look on Chewy.com" for supplements. When I asked about Rimadyl again, she shattered any remaining professionalism by laughing at me and correcting my pronunciation. To make matters worse, when I asked to replace a misplaced referral to an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Holt refused, snidely stating they "already gave me one in January"—as if resending a referral for a suffering animal was too much trouble. The cherry on top of this incompetent visit? When I picked him up, I found out they completely forgot to give him his heartworm prevention vaccine and never even ran the kidney function test I authorized. Complete lack of care, lazy management, and zero compassion for an animal in pain. Avoid this location.

They took really good care of my sister's dog. We really appreciate it.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my dog has received at this clinic. Every time I bring my dog in for a routine check-up, they seem to “find” a new issue. Instead of providing proper treatment, they repeatedly prescribe unnecessary supplements and medications, leading to significant and questionable charges. What’s worse is that my dog’s condition often gets worse after following their recommendations. Within a few days, I’m forced to take my dog to a different veterinarian, where they run proper tests and provide appropriate treatment. This pattern has happened more than once, and it is very concerning. The lack of timely and accurate diagnosis, along with ineffective treatment, has caused my dog’s condition to worsen each time. It feels like profit is being prioritized over proper care. I cannot recommend this clinic. Pet owners should be very cautious and consider seeking a second opinion before proceeding with any treatment here.
