I booked an appointment for my dogs because it showed as available on the website, but when I arrived, they canceled in-room and pressured me to book a drop-off appointment instead, which would have resulted in a much higher bill. When I asked why the website allowed me to book the appointment, the receptionist was rude and said, “We don’t care about online appointments.” Very unprofessional and disappointing.

- EJEva JonesApr 30, 20262.0We’ve been bringing our dog to this location for over a year now and have generally had good experiences. However, two days ago we brought him in for a comprehensive wellness exam, where he was seen by Dr. Goldberg. During that appointment we were told that everything looked fine and despite us informing them that he would probably need his glands manually expressed due to issues he had a month ago, she insisted it wasn’t necessary. The following day, I noticed discharge and pain in his ear so we took him to a different location (Balcones), where they diagnosed him with a DOUBLE EAR INFECTION and blocked glands that needed to be manually expressed. I’m just flabbergasted, and I’m for sure not bringing him back to this location, because I don’t trust them anymore.

I honestly can’t remember a single time I’ve scheduled an appointment here that didn’t end up being rescheduled. We plans our days around the appointments we make. It’s very inconvenient and makes it hard to trust the scheduling. I really hope they can improve their communication and reliability, because this has been a consistent issue.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
