  Started coming here because of all the amazing reviews with Dr. Chan. My dog saw her 2x and I really really liked her. After that, went in another time for an emergency visit and got another vet which I was fine with. But it wasn't until I called to schedule a neuter that I was informed that Dr. Chan left earlier this year. Shouldn't they at least send out an email saying that? I'm pretty sure that's standard practice. I was still going to consider doing the neuter with them but when I got the name of the surgeon (sounded like it was a contract position), I decided to look him up and found almost no info (which I thought was weird) and finally stumbled on his disciplinary record. Granted, it was about 10 years old, but I'd rather err on the side of being too safe so I began searching for other vets. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name. I really like the staff and front desk. They were really great and warm towards my dog every single time. And they were transparent about costs when I first called to compare prices of different services and vaccines. But the issues I experienced from such a short period of time makes it super hard to recommend to anyone. Thankfully, we're now with a family style vet in Tarrytown and I have peace of mind in terms of how the clinic is run. Vetco: no need to ask me to email, just look at the patterns in the negative reviews.

  I started off liking (not loving) this clinic for the convenient location, but it seems like the primary vet, Dr. Chan, has since left and the services are now much more limited. Since Dr. Chan left, it's been very difficult to get in touch with anyone on the phone, and the location hours listed online are not consistent with the voicemail OR what's happening in real life (I've visited multiple times during business hours, only to find that it's totally closed, with no sign or anything). The people I've worked with are perfectly nice and this decline in service seems like a result of short staffing, but it's enough of an inconvenience that I decided to change vets.

  Don’t get me wrong, Dr Chan is amazing. But that’s it. My cat has to take several meds, and it’s a nightmare to get the prescription filled with this vet. I don’t know if they are understaff or if it’s an organization issue, but they keep loosing the prescriptions, and I usually have to call them several times and wait a week to get them to only approve the meds. The limited hours they are open doesn’t help either. Bottom line: if your pet doesn’t have any issues, you’re all good. Otherwise, find another vet.

  Closed on weekends, closed on Monday, I mean when are you open? No sign at the doors, nothing. And it was unlocked, so I was waiting for 10-15 minutes. So finally someone from the store saw me and told me that they are not working today.

  Imagine taking your dog to the vet, they injure him, then you have to pay for the visit. That’s the service you get at Vetco. I brought my dog in for an injured dewclaw, we discuss, they take him to the back. I hear him howling and they bring him back to me bleeding with a trail of blood all over the floor. They literally injured another dewclaw and brought him back as if nothing happened. Not only did the vet not apologize, she had the audacity to defend what they did and found a way to blame me for the bleeding. Never coming back here again. Worth noting, the good reviews here are all related to Dr. Anna Chan, who was my provider dating back to her time in private practice. As of two months ago she is no longer here.
