Shopping for my dogs and my bearded dragons, i went to this store to purchase crickets and enzymatic ear cleaner. It's a hot summer, i get it, i can be okay with not being able to provide crickets. However, i decided to grab some bearded dragon food which i don't typically feed my dragons, some canned crickets and the enzymatic ear cleaner. My purchase came to just a tiny bit under $30, not knowing how much I was needing to spend the only cash i had was 100 dollar bill. The math on this on this one, however I'm told they can't purchase unless i buy $60 worth of merchandise. Be better. Customers should not be expected to run around on 100 degree temperatures to make change for a retail store.

The Georgetown location no longer carries an item we use All the time. And it is their brand! I will have to travel outside of Georgetown for my dog supplies. Also went in to get a basic black dog leash and they were Very limited in collars and leashes. Why open a store if it can't even compete with your other stores or other companies?

The man wouldn't let us get a fish because we only had a 10 gallon tank he said I need to get another tank setup even though I told him I had a 75-gallon tank at home I was going to set up he said I needed to get it set up first and then he could sell me the fishes I decided to take my business elsewhere

I have been a Petco customer for two years, and I have also used Vetco. Until now, I have never had a negative experience. I have visited several locations, but on May 5, 2026, at approximately 10:35 a.m. at this location, I had the worst experience I have ever had. I arrived late for my dog Lucus 10:00 a.m. appointment and immediately greeted the staff, explaining that I did have an appointment and that I was running behind. I expected the staff to check whether there were any other available openings. Instead, Delilah responded rudely, told me that I was 35 minutes late, repeated that point, and said my dog would not be able to receive services. She then walked away with an attitude. I asked to speak with the manager, and I was told that the manager was busy grooming. I said I was willing to wait. At no point did anyone check the computer to see whether there were any available appointments or whether another option was available. I felt dismissed and turned away without any effort to assist me. Shortly afterward, Jessie, the salon manager, came out and told me there were no more appointments, but it appeared that no one had actually checked. This was especially upsetting because I am familiar with the process, having visited Petco at several different locations. I left and, within less than three minutes, was able to make another appointment for 12:45 p.m. I also learned that the groomer would be Delilah. I asked that Delilah not groom my dog, but I was told there was no one else available, even though I had seen a second groomer present at the time. I left feeling discriminated against and deeply uncomfortable with the way I was treated. The employees’ behavior was unprofessional, and the process did not appear to follow proper protocol. I requested the general manager’s information, and I will be reaching out to corporate because my dog was not groomed and the interaction was very disturbing. I did not feel that I, or my dog, were treated with the respect and fairness expected of a Petco customer. Based on this experience, I no longer want to use Petco, and I do not want my dog to go through anything like this again.

I have shopped at Petco for years but am finally done, especially with the Lakeline store. They rarely have anything I need for my two dogs and the service level is awful. I came in the store recently to look for 3 items and they had none of them. I finally found an employee and asked about one of them. He just said they must be out. He didn’t even bother to check. When I got home, I checked the stock of that item and guess what, it was available for pickup at the store. I’ll stick with PetSmart, Chewy and boutique stores.
