I’ve been paying for a Banfield subscription for my dog for almost a year. At first, everything was fine, and the service from everyone was very good; we even saw the same vet until about three months ago. Then, I started to feel like they were making me pay for things when more effective solutions were possible. The first issue was when my dog needed X-rays; they made me pay twice because they couldn't finish the first time—the dog wouldn't cooperate—and then they recommended sedation to complete them (who thinks you can control an 80-pound German Shepherd in pain without medication?). Then, on vaccination day, my dog was there from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. waiting to be seen. I can understand them being busy, but if they don't have time for morning appointments, they should schedule them for the afternoon so the poor animal doesn't have to spend all those hours there for nothing. That same day, we asked them to check a very small wound on his side, but when we picked him up, there was no record of anything regarding the wound—I assumed it wasn't serious since they hadn't mentioned it. A month later, I noticed the same wound; I felt a small lump under the skin, and it was oozing a bit. I made another appointment, but this time they just wiped it with an alcohol swab and sent him home with antibiotics for 10 days to see if it would clear up (more money for almost nothing). Today—15 days later—we went back because, at the previous appointment, we had agreed that the next step might be surgery to see what was under the skin and remove it. The last two appointments were in room because I didn't want to leave my pet there for hours on end for no reason. It turned out the vet was with another patient and would be a while. They gave me the option to leave him there, but I said no—I wanted to reschedule. Apparently, that annoyed the technician; she brought my dog back, dropped the leash, told me to go out to reschedule, and walked away looking unfriendly—she changed the attitude. As we were leaving, we saw her so we asked if we could leave—since the interaction in the room had been awkward—and he just nodded, barely looking at us. Once I got home, I asked to cancel the plan; I was frustrated because they kept suggesting things that wouldn't work like another x-rays —like trying to see what was under the skin—when he could simply perform the surgical procedure right away, given that there was no need to fully sedate my dog twice

Easy service. They were able to squeeze us in last minute for a quick shot and exam. Bit high on price for the non plan dog but for the plan dog it actually wasn’t bad. The meds are pricy but worth it for not having to continue administering at home. Would recommend for people on the move due to their system is nationwide so you can go to any of their other spots and have ya info already there

I've been sitting on writing this review for awhile cause the staff is friendly but I am frustrated with the negligence of writing the wrong prescription for my dog with seizures. I was given a prescription to give my dog 1 dose of phenobarbital daily (the prescription did not say twice daily). So ive been underdosing him and he eventually had cluster seizures and had to go to the ER. At the ER, the vet told me that the dosage most likely should have been 1 pill twice a day so I called banfield and the best they could do was apologize. My dog had to go to the ER... it cost 3k.. i dont care about your apology. Needless to say, I dont trust the vets at this location.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
