Such an amazing place. I rescued a dog not to long ago, and this would be her first time getting nails done. I think I was more nervous than the dog. Staff was calm and amazing. Dog did better than I expected. Please support this local business,.

I have taken my dog, Milo, to Happy Tails for the past 4 years! And let me tell you, he’s not an easy dog to handle, and is and has always been on anxiety meds, due to his behavior. They are the only ones who can handle him, and who he’ll actually listen to. My parents have boarded their dogs at the same time, Cooper and Trixie, for the past couple years as well! They have always been the best to our animals, and have always treated our dogs as their own while we’re away! Wouldn’t take our animals anywhere else!! They are truly amazing with all the animals, the animals love them, and their big hearts.

We’ve always had great results with them taking care of our Milo. He will be there again in 3 days.

Would not recommend for elderly dogs or dogs that require medication. The owner called me and had me pick up my dogs as I was leaving for vacation because she did not want to give my smallest one insulin and was worried my biggest one would die. I tried to be accommodating and I explained that I didn’t think my largest dog would die while I was gone and that it was okay if my smallest one had her insulin a little early when they opened/closed. As in give her first dose when they opened and last dose when they closed. She said no she would not walk across the yard at 5 am to give my dog her insulin. I immediately picked up my dogs and have not been back. They had watched them previously and did a great job and were very attentive which is why I was so surprised that they refused to take care of them again. I’ve also worked as a kennel tech and had given plenty of medication to dogs that were boarding with us. I assumed it would be standard for a boarding facility, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

My goldendoodle has been groomed there a few times. The last 2 times were not great. Yesterday was horrible. I took her in for her appt. I specifically requested for her not to be cut short like she was the time before. When I picked her up, 5 hours later, she was completely shaven, including her tail! When I questioned why, I was told "it had to be done because she was matted." I brush her daily. She was not matted. I called and left a message for Jules to discuss this further and the girl answering the phone told me she would take a message and have her call me back. I have not received a call back. My dog is still not acting like her normal self. Very disappointing!

Frequently Asked Questions About Happy Tails Pet Care

Will my dog be in a kennel all day?

Not always. Most facilities provide a combination of private kennels and supervised group playtime. Happy Tails Pet Care recommends asking about the daily routine and how much time your pet will have outside their kennel.

What if my dog gets sick or injured?

Licensed boarding facilities maintain emergency procedures and partnerships with 24/7 veterinary hospitals nearby. We suggest confirming their veterinary care protocols before making your reservation.
