- GJGarry JanssenJun 23, 20264.0We paid for a vaccine package on our first visit. But when signing in on our 2nd visit. Was told you need to pay for extra expenses. After questioning the person signing us in, oh let me see. Not a specific answer as to why the extra costs. Or if we are paying. Told us here put this on your dog. A choking neck leash. We had a body harness and leash already on the dog. This was very unnecessary but a hinderance in control of our dog. As it was too the customer in front of us. Dog getting tangled up on both parties. We have one more visit remaining. The vets assistant was very pleasant and informative to us. She made the experience more relaxing.

Without asking or informing, they gave him multiple other vaccines and charged us $170. When questioned, the staff were rude and dismissive. Giving an animal unapproved vaccines by their owner is not only unethical, it can be dangerous. We later read reports online that Vetco employees are pressured to sell more vaccine packages or risk having their hours cut. Whether or not that’s true, our experience felt like a sales quota mattered more than our dog’s safety or our consent.
