- HSHolly Surber3 days ago1.0Don’t waste your time. We booked a 10:30 appointment for our 11 year old dog to get one vaccine. We were walked to the exam room at 10:28. By 11:10 not a single person has acknowledged us and my dog was visibly stressed the entire time we were waiting. I went back to the front desk to ask what was going on. He walked to the back to let someone know we were still waiting. Nobody came. We left.
- DTDoc ThunderOct 16, 20263.0We took 3 cats in Sunday and 2 did great and one is suddenly doing poorly. She was a little weak when we took her but still getting around ok. I am sure it is not something they are doing, but this is the second time this has happened. Another issue I have is getting prescriptions approved from outside sources. I know this is because they are busy and they have a difficult time keeping staff. Overall I think they take pretty good care of my pets, but there is room for improvement.
- KLKandie LewisSep 23, 20265.0Dr. Penninger at the Brentwood, TN office is amazing. Though I received poor news about my dog Houston, Dr. Penninger took the time to consult me and make sure I understood everything. Noticing I was distraught he remained calm, compassionate and understanding and allowed me as much time as I needed. He even responded a few days later after I reached back out for more information after I had calmed down and had my wits about me. He provided me with my options and suggestions but gave me an honest upfront answer on best practices. He offered solutions such as meds and supplements that would help Houston feel a little better until we decided next steps. He looked at our plan to see what services were still available to complete every assessment available to get the most clear pic of the situation. Lastly he made sure I understood signs and symptoms to look for to assess quality of life for Houston. I truly felt seen and cared for which I know he extended to my sweet boy Houston. With the thoroughness of his assessment I feel confident I know how to best make sure Houston isn’t suffering which is the most important thing to me. I wish he had been seeing Houston from the start to be honest. Thank you Dr. Penninger for your compassion and kindness and being so thorough.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
