We love it here! We take our dogs for all their vet care. We recently had to put one of our dogs down and the amount of caring and support they gave us was second to none. it really helped make the devastating process easier to get through. All the doctors and staff are great. We highly recommend.

They were nicer than expected to my dog. They served him like he was the only dog there. No rushing. Very attentive to his needs. This is my new veterinarian for my dog.

Three weeks ago my wife and I took our three Chihuahua puppies (Porky, Peanut, and Prissy) to Stones River Veterinary Hospital for a full day's worth of treatment (spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchips, nail trims, and dental - Peanut had a lot of baby teeth pulled). Time has flown, and I just realized that we hadn't thanked the staff at Stones River for their wonderful service and compassionate care. We had traveled in from out of state for a separate appointment and were staying at a hotel in town. Although we knew Dr. Jennings before she started working at Stones River (she saw our last four furry babies: Mikey, Missy, Milo and Felix) we were still quite nervous about how our puppies were going to fare through it all. We had lots of questions and concerns from the beginning, but everyone at Stones River was so professional and polite. They answered all of our questions, provided us with sound recommendations, and made sure we knew what to do when we returned home. But most importantly, they took great care of our little fur babies. So, I'd like to give some well-deserved shoutouts to the following people: - Darcy (Reception/Boarding), who greeted us with a big smile and helped us bring in the pups. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating. And we're not just saying that because she's our daughter. We're saying that because that's the kind of person she is. - Adam (Technician), who performed the intake when we first arrived. He was extremely thorough and was able to answer a lot of our questions, which helped to ease our minds quite a bit. - Lindsey (Technician), who brought our pups out and made sure we understood all of the aftercare instructions. She was very personable, polite, and thorough. - Dr. Jennings (Veterinarian), who blocked off almost an entire day to perform the surgeries on our puppies. She did a fantastic job making sure Porky, Prissy, and Peanut were well taken care of, and she kept us informed of their progress throughout the day. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we are grateful for Dr. Jennings and her staff. It seems the only thing we had to worry about was how to keeps the pups from taking each other’s cones off 😂

I am writing this to warn others of the severe lack of communication at this clinic. I spent thousands of dollars here on diagnostics, only to have a life-altering diagnosis withheld from me while my pets were at risk. My 10-year-old cat was seen for behavioral changes (inappropriate urination). After testing, I was verbally told it was "just anxiety." Because I trusted their professional assessment, I didn't think anything else of it. Shortly after, I rescued two kittens who brought ringworm into the home. Because the kittens were positive, this clinic provided my older cat medication without further investigation. When the ringworm returned a month later, I sought a second opinion at a different vet. Upon reviewing the medical charts transferred from Stones River veterinarian, the new vet immediately pointed out that my older cat was FIV positive. This clinic had these results in their system and never once mentioned it to me. Whether the result was sitting in a file or buried in a printout I wasn't trained to read, it was their professional responsibility to explain that my cat was immunocompromised. Because they failed to do so: • I was unaware of why my cat was so susceptible to recurring infections like ringworm. • I unknowingly placed my two new kittens at risk of exposure to a lifelong virus. • I paid thousands of dollars for answers that were never actually given to me. It took a different veterinarian less than five minutes of looking at the paperwork I paid for to find the truth. As a pet owner, I shouldn't have to be a medical expert to know my cat has a serious condition. This is a massive breach of trust and a danger to any animal in their care.
