Adopted two kittens from this location this past week, and Petco Lebanon had an incredibly helpful staff who were more than willing to help my husband and I out! Dylan, the front clerk, was so kind and was able to get me information for the rescue they work with for questions I had. I don't remember the girl who was workings name, but she was so genuinely excited to help us out and really seemed to love what she does for work. Thank you guys!

Day 1 of documenting my experience until this matter is addressed appropriately & transparently. Due to Google’s character limitations, this is a condensed version of my experience. There are additional details, conversations, and interactions that could not be included here, but I have made every effort to accurately summarize the events and the concerns that remain unresolved. In March 2026, I brought my pup to Petco Lebanon for a standard bath—no haircut. When I picked him up, the groomer (who I want to emphasize has always been kind and pleasant) explained she did not brush around his eyes because she was unsure if I wanted that service. I explained that this was something I normally received and that she could have contacted me, as my information should have been on file. Once home, I discovered what appeared to be shampoo residue throughout his coat, another dog’s fur throughout his hair, and that his tear staining had not been cleaned as expected. My concern was never about perfection—it was that I paid for a service that I did not feel was completed properly. I contacted Petco Customer Service because I wanted the issue corrected, not because I wanted anyone reprimanded. Unfortunately, after the complaint was forwarded to the Lebanon location, the situation escalated rather than being resolved. On July 7/8th, while attempting to book, I discovered I could no longer schedule grooming appointments online—not just at the Lebanon location, but apparently at Petco locations nationwide. That wasn’t clear at today so I contacted Petco CS service same day. On July 11th, 2026, during my most recent conversation with Tonya, my question is simple: why were unrelated events from three years ago used to justify restricting my access to services today, especially when I had successfully booked Petco appointments since then? I was told this was “due to previous cancellations/no-shows from 2023, along with my concerns regarding my pup’s bath in 2026 and I quote “I have to advocate for my staff. We are not comfortable allowing you to book wherever and on whoever you want” are the reasons my online booking was disabled. Another location can read the notes and decide if they want to enable my online booking ability” At that point, I began to question whether the actions taken against my account were retaliatory. I had respectfully expressed dissatisfaction with a paid service, complimented the employee involved, and attempted to resolve the matter appropriately. Instead, the outcome was a restriction on my ability to schedule services online across Petco locations. The handling of this situation also caused me to question whether unconscious bias may have influenced how my concerns were interpreted and escalated. I sincerely hope that was not a factor; however, when a customer advocates for themselves and their pet and is met with restrictions rather than resolution, it is reasonable to ask difficult questions and that this possibility be examined. First and foremost professionalism matters, I also found it inappropriate to repeatedly be addressed as “Honey” during a conversation involving a customer complaint, which I perceived to be patronizing and dismissive. She also minimized my original concern multiple times and referenced my “calling multiple times” as if that somehow reflected negatively on me. I asked for Tonya’s general manager information and was told she would have them contact me. IT’S NOW JULY 16TH and still NO communication. At this point, I am left with unanswered questions: • Why was my online booking access disabled across Petco locations without transparency? • Why did respectfully expressing dissatisfaction result in restrictions? • What specifically made staff “uncomfortable” when I remained respectful throughout the process? I am requesting Petco leadership to review this situation objectively and clarification on whether this aligns with Petco’s policies? Customers should be able to advocate for themselves and their pets without feeling as though they are being penalized for speaking up.
