My 8 year old pup has ALWAYS hated going to the vet and would shake and whine uncontrollably. Since the last vet was taken over by corporate, I needed a new place. My dog was mostly calm, actually wagged and gave Dr Jones some kisses on the nose! I am beyond pleased to have found this vet and will definitely be returning.

Went with my daughter to take her sick dog there. Was treated very poorly . Was told three different things . They wanted my daughter to put her dog down during she couldn't pay up front about cost . The vet said she had infection in her uterus and it was block so the dig needed emergency surgery or she wouldn't make it. But they couldn't stay all night and that after surgery my daughter would have to come and get her dog and take it home but bring her back first thing in the morning. The vet also told my daughter that she could pay everything the next morning . The office manager was rude disrespectful crossing her foot over the other and crossing her hand with a smerck smile on her . After she came in the room and thru everything the doctor said out the window . She was changing her story and then the vet changed her story . Took the dog to another vet the same day just to find out the dog has parvo putting a dog down over the first stages of parvo like really iv fluids and meds will help . They had my daughter so upset thinking she was losing her fur baby . If my daughter had let them do the unnecessary surgery Sadie would have died , or if my daughter had listen to them and put her down . This place is a joke and I told my son not to take his dog back there . They don't know what they are doing and treat the owners poorly . That office manager is lucky me and her didn't have more words but she was rude nasty cold heart and so much more and the word I really want to use I can't, but as for this place don't take your dogs or cats here please . My daughter took her fur baby to another who did their own X rays and blood work . I did contact the vet association about this vet clinic and told them what happened yesterday and the findings . This vet clinic isn't the cheapest or fair on their prices . The vet clinic my daughter is at right now is and they listened and checked everything to make sure before doing surgery. Thank God that we listened to my hearts and rushed her straight to another vet and Sadie is getting the best treatment with respect and care she deserves

So here we go... Years and years ago..I adopted a little puppy, the runt of the litter, from a society in Florida. He was a little Australian Shepherd and black Lab mix. I named him Culann. Denise Jones worked at another practice then, and she always took such care of him, and was so patient with me. I'd never had a dog of my own before, and everything was so new and scary, but no matter how silly it might have been, Denise was always there to answer questions and offer advice. Eventually I adopted a half Border Collie, half Lab mix..and I named her Bella. And as before, Denise Jones stepped up to give immaculate, amazing care to Bella as well as Culann. This is not just another veterinarian folks. This is your single best ally against all the myriad of things that can harm your dog. Put your trust in her, I did and I've never ever regretted it. Culann and Bella have passed on, but I drive by their practice every day, and I know the person who brought me comfort and knowledge and assurance as I raised both of these amazing pups and watched them play and enjoy life the way they were meant to. If you're looking for a vet clinic you can depend on..well you found it.

We absolutely love Hixson Pet Wellness Center! The entire staff is kind, compassionate, and genuinely cares about the well-being of every pet that comes through their doors. Our boy, Sancho, has always been treated with so much patience, love, and attention, and it gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s in such good hands. The team takes the time to answer questions, explain everything thoroughly, and make sure both pets and their humans feel comfortable. You can tell they truly love what they do. We are so grateful to have found a veterinary clinic that treats Sancho like family. Thank you for always taking such wonderful care of our sweet boy. We couldn’t recommend you more highly! 🐾❤️
