Very disappointing experience. After our dog received a vaccine and an allergy injection, he developed a swollen lump at the injection site. When we brought him back to be examined, the veterinarian claimed the lump had already been there during the initial visit, despite never mentioning it to us at that time or during any follow-up phone calls. We know our dog extremely well—we cuddle with him every day and would have noticed a lump like this before the appointment. It was frustrating to feel like our concerns were dismissed instead of acknowledged. Rather than taking our observations seriously, it seemed like the doctor was trying to avoid responsibility by saying the lump was pre-existing. We understand that reactions to injections can happen, and we weren’t expecting perfection. We simply wanted honesty, transparency, and compassion. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed and unable to trust the explanation we were given

Drop-off vet service. Not everything done that was asked. Failed to do dog’s nails. Pickup took about an hour and half after a call saying pick up at that time. Not sure I would return.

My German shepherd passed away in April 2025 and Banfield still expected me to continue making payments on his plan. Even though there would be no more services, medication, or preventative care to be done, they still charged me. After calling and speaking with them about it, I noticed that the debt was deleted off of my portal account. I then receive a letter in May this week (2026) saying that I owe a debt for him still and it's now in collections. Just be aware if you sign up for the "care" plans and something happens to your pet, they are still going to expect you to pay without a care in the world that service will no longer be used. I have been taken my pup to Sangree animal hospital and they are far better without the stress of them trying to squeeze money from a pet that passed away. Be careful when signing up with them.

We had a noon appointment confirmed in late April and unfortunately didn't notice that a 2nd confirmation sent 4 days ago moved the time to 11:30. We showed up at 11:40 but were told even though the 11a appt before us was a no-show, the doctor was just too busy to see us and no, we "shouldn't wait." We were offered an 8a the following morning but as anyone with a nervous dog knows, putting Stella through another car ride so soon was not an option. The front desk was inconsiderate and condescending. Do not recommend this location, The Rivers Avenue staff really set the bar high and this location didn't meet it from the jump.
