I am a regular client that visits pet smart weekly. I have been having some issues with my dog and separation anxiety. So I thought I would give them a shot for helping with the issue. Dr Littlejohn prescribed some med for my dog to help with the issue. The meds were give for a few weeks. No follow up call was made by the staff or Dr littleJohn. I walked to the clinic on my lunch hour to voice my concern about the meds and ongoing issue. The Dr wasn't in at the time. Sarah the front desk person took down all my concerns and said Dr littlejohn would reach out to me on Saturday when she was in. I was contacted by Amber that Saturday regarding the issue. Amber had about as much compassion as the floor in the building and couldn't even pronounce the medicine that they wanted to potentially put my dog on for an alternative to the current meds. Her lack of empathy was appalling. The following Monday I went in again to voice my concerns. I spoke to a male vet tech behind closed doors about the situation and the appalling service. He assured me I would be reached out to. Kelly the practice manager would be notified by him and would handle my concern. Its a week later no concern from the staff. This issue has been going on for a month and a lack of concern for the patient and the client. I walked back in today to inquire about the issue. Where I stood there for 7 mins before Amber finally looked up from playing games on her phone. I spoke to Sarah when she walked out from her shift. She was concerned that I was standing there unassisted and took my concerns down once again. I hope this reaches some one to help change some things via staff and following up on patients and the clients. I also felt truly sorry for an older woman who was waiting to see the vet when I spoke to the vet tech prior to today when Amber made the elderly woman weigh her dog twice because she failed to do her job the first time by writing it down. Nor did Amber help her get the dog out of the cart where the animal was. Seeming to be difficult for her in her age and the dog medium build. Im very disappointed in the service and not hearing back from the staff. I have seeked a second opinion for care for my animal. Compassionate service not given from a big box company that advertises that service all over their website and commercial. The only caring and compassionate service I have had from this office has been from Sarah. Many thanks to Sarah for caring and trying to assist with no follow up by her superiors or doctors!! Complete lack of care, Banfield do what you advertise and give caring compassionate services for pets and their owners.
