  Everyone at this store is super nice and helpful. Pur corgis require routine grooming for fur control so we are frequent visitors

  I was bringing my dog in for a vaccine, so I thought I would also schedule a nail appointment. However, the website does not allow customers to schedule nail appointments and instead instructs them to walk in. I arrived during normal business hours, when the grooming salon should have been open. I was pleased to see there was no one in line, but when I asked for assistance, the employee at the register said she needed to find the groomers. She informed the manager, who also seemed surprised that no one was working in the grooming salon. I even watched as she got on the phone trying to locate whoever was supposed to be there. She then came back to me—as if I hadn’t just watched her searching for the groomer—and told me there was no grooming after 3:00 p.m. When I pointed out that the hours posted on the door said otherwise, she changed her explanation and said they did not have enough employees to staff the salon after 3:00 p.m. That was odd, considering I had just watched her appear completely bewildered when she realized no one was working. I made an appointment for 5:00 p.m. the following day. Unfortunately, something came up, and I had to call to reschedule. No one in the grooming salon was available to come to the phone, but I was assured that someone would call me back to reschedule. No one ever did. I understand that the local management is not responsible for Petco paying wages that make it difficult to attract and retain employees. What I do not understand is why they cannot simply be honest with customers instead of lying to us.

  I’m not sure if I just went on a low inventory day, but they didn’t have very many fish supplies or live plants to choose from and the plants they did were pretty much dying or dead. Also, the store says it’s open right now but every time I try to make a call. It says the store is not open. 🥲

  The desk pets thing is horrible. This is some "just following orders" trash. The associates here need to grow a spine and do what's right for the animals, not what corporate says.
