- MMMegan6 days ago5.0They were so lovely and caring. We came in as a walk-in for our dog's sprained tail. We were only staying in town for a week on vacation. They saw her with no trouble in minutes and got her the care she needed. They're our vet from now on when we are in town!

- SPSteven La PierSep 17, 20261.0We used to use Banfield in Boardman, Ohio, and they were great. The location here in Bluffton, South Carolina is the complete opposite. We call in the schedule appointment stating that we want to stay with the animals and understand that those appointments may take a little bit longer to come to fruition so we wait the months and when we do arrive for our appointment, we were told we have to drop them off regardless so now a 2 to 3 hour off a workday turns into a full day. When we’ve asked to talk to management at this location, we’ve never received callbacks or told that they are on lunch and they will leave a message which never Happens. I wanted cancel our active care program and was told that I have to be paid the remaining balance which is some BS based on what they charge on what we have paid in. Beware of any care program through this company.  It is easier to get out of a timeshare contract than it is to get out of their care program. This is extremely depressing due to the fact if there services were better, we would not have this issue. We have two more months left on our programs and will never take them to Banfield again with all the issues we’ve had you would have thought Banfield would be willing to pay for the last two months, not on your life.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
