I had to face the euthanization of two beloved 14 and 17 year old dogs. My last encounter was so traumatizing, I admittedly, postponed the inevitable. I chose Banfield by a Google search, based on reviews. My last experience was a local ( Seneca) vet clinic. I'll withhold their name. I explained the condition of my very old dog. I told them I was strictly seeking euthanasia. if you have been through this, you know the agony. I get to the Seneca clinic. They take my poor dog into another room. When he's brought back, he was in terrible distress. Not to mention, high pressure, upon exam, to prolong his agonizing life, by testing and medications, etc. By the time it was over, I could hardly breathe. I connected with Banfield today. I explained my fear and anxiety and I did not want to be offered life sustaining treatments. I didn't want the dogs removed from my presence, if at all possible. They explained placing the IV is sometimes traumatic but they were willing to accept my desire to be present. They said if at any point, it was too much, let them know. I did not have to go through a painstakingly rough exam of either dog. I'm there with them for mercy, they don't need a check up. Everyone I had contact with, from reception, to billing, to techs, to vets, I couldn't be more pleased, especially under such difficult circumstances. My dogs were comforted, with me by their side from start to finish. I paid prior to the euthanasia, so * was able to leave right after.. I was given all options, as far as burial, cremation, etc and given an accurate quote before services were rendered. ( I must add, that my oldest dog had nails that could catch dinner, as I didn't keep up on them since he got cancer. There was no judgement, no mention, just total support throughout. Pricing was fair. I applied for Care Credit( with not so great credit, and it covered all I needed. The cost was around 530.00 complete. It may sound expensive but that included the office visit, euthanization, in and cremation. I did not opt to recover the ashes. I don't ever have 530.00 laying around , but between Banfield and Care Credit, I was able to send my pups off to their heavenly resting place with ease, comfort and love. I will never use another vet clinic. Banfield, you all made this transition doable with your support and compassion. Your techs/ veterinarian were top notch! Thank you!

The tech that checked me in was a bit condescending and didn't let me finish my sentences or questions without cutting g me off and didn't listen well at all. However the vet tech that examined my kitty babies was wonderful, also the vet was also amazing. Both were friendly and showed great care for my babies. Price is reasonable also.

Our Brooklyn is a service dog. She is family to us. BANFIELD has served her for 10 years. She has done well. Now she is struggling will old age and some issues. They have been so kind to us and her during this process. She is still alive. But we know they will help us when her time comes. Thank you BANFIELD!

I took my dog in today for a routine heartworm test and his ProHeart 12 injection, and unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. I have been to many veterinary offices over the last 8 years because we move often, and while I had previously brought another dog here without any major issues, this visit was very different. The woman at the front desk was kind, understanding, and professional, which I appreciated. However, the male staff member who brought us back to the exam room was incredibly rude. From the moment he came in, he acted as though I was bothering him simply by asking questions and trying to better understand the process. His responses felt sarcastic, dismissive, and unprofessional. My dog is sometimes protective, and I could immediately tell he was picking up on that negative energy. Because of that, I politely asked if someone else could take him to the back. Instead of handling that professionally, his attitude became even more hostile before he walked out of the room sarcastically. At that point, my dog had been left in a muzzle longer than necessary, and after no one returned, I decided to leave. What was most concerning was that no one seemed to care that we were leaving or why. As a pet owner, if a staff member cannot show basic respect and compassion toward me, it makes it very difficult to trust them with my dog’s care behind closed doors. Very disappointing experience
