  Staff is very helpful & knowledgeable! They go out of their way to help you no matter what dept. they are assigned to! I asked one young lady in the Grooming Dept. about their rewards program. It’s a great deal & I didn’t hesitate to join! She knew all about it & was so welcoming! Love this store!!!

  This location has far better customer service than the Providence location for sure. I would’ve gave 5 stars had it not been for the team member that didn’t know the difference between a female guppy from a male guppy fish. I personally been caring for guppies for 20 years & have experience. I pointed out that one female guppy (a plain colored guppy with prominent female distinctions) was mixed in with the male cobra guppies yet, he still wrote the sku number for a male cobra guppy totally disregarding what I first communicated to him (so I paid more for a species that retailed for less). I didn’t felt like going back & forth with the aquatics guy because he was genuinely nice however, I feel that team members should be fully knowledgeable about the animals they sell.

  I walked by this Petco location and saw a female employee scrubbing the public sidewalk outside the store with a mop, and honestly, it was uncomfortable to watch. That’s not just unusual—it felt completely inappropriate. Having a retail employee mop a sidewalk is gross, unnecessary, and frankly humiliating. Sidewalk cleaning is something typically handled by proper outdoor maintenance services, not underpaid store staff. It raises serious questions about how employees are being treated and what they’re being asked to do. There’s a difference between keeping a storefront tidy and assigning tasks that seem degrading or outside the scope of a retail job. Watching that made me think twice about how this location is managed.
