  Please keep your pet safe and go somewhere else! I went into this store intending to purchase a bag of dog food, but the bag I picked up was covered in dirt and cobwebs and even had a maggot on it. After seeing that, I had no interest in purchasing anything from this store. Before leaving, I let an employee know because I genuinely wanted to bring it to someone’s attention so it could be taken care of. Instead, the employee shrugged and said, “Yeah, they come from the warehouse that way,” and completely dismissed my concern. That response honestly made the situation even worse. If the store knows pet food is arriving from the warehouse in that condition, why isn’t it being addressed? And if a bag arrives in that condition, why is it being put on the shelf for customers to purchase? I ended up going two miles down the road to PetSmart, where I consistently receive better service and clean products. I shouldn’t have to choose between buying what I need for my dog and wondering whether the products on the shelf are clean and safe. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have no reason to return to this store. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses both the condition of the products and how customer concerns are handled.

  Went to pick up an online order for an item my local store didn't have in stock. Took a walk around the store just to see what they had at this location. The entire store was incredibly clean and well-organized. The small animals, birds, and reptiles were housed in clean habitats and looked healthy. Fish tanks were immaculate and full of healthy fish. My acid test is seeing how well the Betta fish are cared for. While having them in small plastic cups is not ideal, I understand that it's impractical for most multi-pet stores to keep a "Betta wall". That being said, the Bettas were all in clean containers, active, and interested in what was happening. None appeared ill or malnourished, which is quite an accomplishment.

  Petco more like pet no this is probably about the fifth time we went to both york locations and they don't have the cat food we need hill science deit it's perfect digestion it is the only food at are one cat can eat due to medical reason then they either say it in the back and never put it out or your order it online and the drive steals your stuff what a joke I shouldn't have to order form chewys to get her food whem there two store within 10 minutes of my house

  love this petco so so so very much the staff are always nice and knowledgeable and quick to help me when i’m there so this review in no way reflects them as workers but i tend to get my dubia roaches from this petco for my pet and after my most recent roach purchase i’ve had to change to going to petsmart or online as the last two containers of roaches i bought had what looked to be maggots or fruit flies in them and as such caused me to have a couple of the nasty things flying around my apartment and ended up making me waste money as i was no longer comfortable feeding the dubias to my pet
