- JCJ CMay 23, 20264.0I had to take my 3 yr old German shepherd in after falling down the stairs. The exam rooms are really comfortable and all frosted glass so dogs are not distracted so easily. Dr.Ortiz was great, explained everything clearly and answered questions. The exam and meds were only about $130 and they never pushed their VIP plans on me. However I read the website about their Fear Free policies and it said they will ask questions about what makes your pet more comfortable before the visit and they never asked me that. Website also said "bring them hungry we'll have lots of treats" and nobody ever offered him treats. So im not sure what this "fear free" environment is supposed to be. I do like that you don't have to wait in a general waiting area--just straight into the exam room.

Also every pet has their own waiting area with stuffies and treats, which I appreciate because my dogs do not do well in common waiting rooms. They aren't cheap per se I think they're in line with the market and they are definitely not out to screw you with hidden fees or things you don't need. Plus you can get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time, in fact when I've had urgent issues I've gotten in same day no problem.
