  Last time I was here (about 3 months or so ago) I didn’t get the best service. I walked in, inquired with cashier about a particular brand of dog food and her response was, “I wouldn’t know, I don’t own a dog”. Mind you, this was also in a “I don’t give 2 fu%k$” tone. So I just left. (Side note, Petco is not my regular retailer for my dog needs, it’s just convenient) Today, I was out and about and stopped in to look for some anti itch spray or shampoo for my pup. The sales associate that I spoke with wasn’t familiar with dog products. However, she paused for a moment from restocking. Took the time to find a manager, couldn’t find the manager and searched for someone else that would be more familiar with my pup’s needs. Thank you to the floor associate and the person that helped answer questions about the product I was about to purchase!.

  I drove a bit further out of my way to visit this Petco location specifically for fish supplies. While browsing, I was disappointed to see that multiple fish in the display tanks were flashing—a classic sign of ich or flukes—and unfortunately, there were also deceased fish visible in several tanks. Even if every individual fish isn't showing immediate symptoms yet, when one fish in a shared system is infected, the whole tank is compromised. For an inexperienced hobbyist who might not recognize these signs, buying from these conditions could easily introduce a parasite into a home aquarium and wipe out an entire established tank. That kind of oversight means unnecessary extra trips, wasted money, and turns what should be an enjoyable hobby into a frustrating nuisance. On top of that, the betta section was lacking, with several fish simply not in the best shape to be sold. While the employees seemed somewhat knowledgeable, it's really hard to take their advice or trust information from them when the actual condition of their tanks looks like this. Their dry goods selection is okay, but the live fish care definitely needs serious attention.

  I stopped in for some flea treatment and the workers were so helpful and friendly.

  This location never has crickets. There's always an excuse about the shipments, but I never have this issue with other locations around the city.
